Oh boy! SVC, I think you REALLY stepped in it this time! It's always bad for to ask a lady about her age, and the absolutely last thing you EVER want to do is suggest that she may be old (or for that matter, ancient)!!

Expanding on the note I left in Steve's topic, is there a way to enable "https" on the FC Forum? PHPBB should support https and should be moved to that relatively soon.

Since you said this was the appropriate topic, I really do think that it would be very good to get https enabled on the FC Forum. It shouldn't be *that* hard to do, and your hosting service should be able to do the hard work for you.

Jean was attacked by a dog tonight, suffering two painful bites as she tried to keep the large black dog from killing Wolf. The dog was not on a leash. Police, ambulance, and animal control are all involved, and the black dog is in custody for ten days of observation. Jean was severely shaken but seems to have calmed down. Wolf was not hurt. I'm sure she would welcome emails of support and concern. She will probably miss work tomorrow as she sees doctors and finds out if she will have to take special treatments. She had a neighbor call me and I was there when she talked to the various authorities and when the attacking dog was removed from the apartment complex.

Eight tooth scrapes with blood, one about an inch long. Big bruises.

The dog would have killed Wolf. I hurt but I am alive.

I did what I had to to keep Wolf safe.

I'm VERY glad the two of you are safe (both Jean and Wolf)

I do have some questions, though about attacking dog, and am also glad he or she is under observation.

Does it have a license/tag or some sort of chip? Whomever its owners are, THEY are the ones who should take care of any bills.

If it's a stray or feral, I'm going to worry.
