she comes a knocking
the pretty young girl
we all must dine with
one evening or another
"but i'm out of potatoes!
and green beans! and celery!
and bread! and wine!
and most certainly butter!"
the girl looks sad
but then smiles slyly
she turns to leave
on a black stallion beast
"that's fine,
i will give you more time
use it well, in every moment
for when i return...
i expect a feast!"

Well done.
(Made me check the calendar for mine, sent a chill down my spine.)

We all long for a day when the scourge of cancer is relegated to the history books; a day when none need look over their shoulder for its return.
Three years is an excellent milestone, and something worthy of a party.* May you have MANY more annual celebrations.
(* This is NOT meant as a "When the cat's away, the mice will play" suggestion!! SVC would KILL me for that! )

Well, considering that she is more "cat" than "mouse", I doubt that is a concern ...

I have successfully evaded the sun enough to have not had any skin cancer for over 2 years now after 8 times in six years.

Are you using the adobe acrobat pdf reader app? If I recall correctly the color ssd books and the Apple pdf reader didn't get along.

To by as pdfs
By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 - 07:48 pm: Edit |
The black and white ones are smaller files so they load easier.
I have heard of problems with the apple pdf viewer but not with the adobe Acrobat pdf viewer.
So you can view the SSDs but they won't print? Hmmm.

I went to my my daughters iPad which is a couple of years old but has the latest iOS. I opened Safari, I went to the W23 web-page, I signed in, I went to my library, and then downloads. I opened a Color SSD book, it took it a little bit to download but then it previewed. I set the screen to page view instead of continuous. I open the dialog box and told it to print. It sent the page to my printer and printed with no problem. I am not sure what could be wrong with the way you are doing it. Still seems odd that it will print the B&W but not color. Is there a color setting for the printer? Maybe it needs to be turned "On" to print color pages.
By Jay gustafson (Jay13) on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 - 08:15 pm: Edit |
They do print but a lot of the times nothing will happen it’s intermittent
By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 - 08:19 pm: Edit |
Ahhhh. I would only try to print one or two pages at a time. My guess is that since the pages are huge individually (several MB), if you are trying to print multiple pages at once it is overloading the memory of your printer. IF you look at the size of the of the SSD book files, the color ones are 10 to 20 times bigger in size. So each page of the color books are like 20 pages at once.

Jay, honestly, it sounds like an issue with your printer and computer. I cannot help you with that.
