Which is the theme of the discussion.
Some people seem to think the Fralli achieve their great purpose in the universe by being targets.
I personnally think that the Statue Fralli might have a future as fishing lures for whales on Ocean worlds... the Zeno-mock whales of Oceania III have notoriouy bad eye sight so pastel colored stoned Fralli just might fit a niche(so to speak...)

Are Fralli polished enough to be reflective?
By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Saturday, August 22, 2015 - 12:05 pm: Edit |
Holloween is coming up in a couple of months... Fralli statues might be popular for haunted houses, provided they don't cause long term lasting psychic damage to any children visiting such establishments.
Plus they could be refinished in any variety of top coats... chrome, mat black, rainbow. The list of options is long.
I suppose you could give them a teflon coating and see how they last on SVC's shooting range?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, August 22, 2015 - 01:23 pm: Edit |
Just got a big order for Fralli statues from a college fraternity. They want to put them in two lines and force the pledges to "run the gauntlet of horrors."
By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Saturday, August 22, 2015 - 02:18 pm: Edit |
If you used paint ball guns, their would be no lasting dmage to either set of targets...a d one could argue that the Fralli would only benefit from a taxteful selection of paint ball rounds.

(sigh) Y'all are so mean to my Fralli.
By Gregory S Flusche (Vandor) on Saturday, August 22, 2015 - 04:34 pm: Edit |
It is ok Jean when the Fralli establish a new world order of peace they will all bow down to them then.
Just because a person is different does not make them bad. Being ugly is a survival trait... ewwww eat that.

What?!?
US!?!
Madam, Surely you jest!
It is my sincere and heart felt wish to help the Fralli improve themselves and the universe ingeneral.
Frankly, I doubt that there are very many people (who just happen to frequent these BBS topics) who would have thought of using projectile weaponry to aid these poor underpriviledged Fralli achieve their own collective Valhalla / nivanna.
Now, I could see your point if any one had suggested using a catapult to shoot the Fralli statues into odd or interesting locations. (One can only immagine what Petrick would say, if he left his apartment for one of his walk/jogging excursions only to return to find said apartment filled with Stoned Fralli statues!)

The frequency of my absence on this BBS will be evident when I ask, who or what are the Fralli?

The ugliest species of humanoids in the Federation.
By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Sunday, August 23, 2015 - 12:05 am: Edit |
Are Hydrans considered humanoid? 'cuz if so, that is definitely saying something...
By George Duffy (Sentinal) on Sunday, August 23, 2015 - 01:16 am: Edit |
Hydran aren't in the Federation, but that really doesn't matter.
People make a face when a Hydran enters the room because of the methane they breath. When a Fralli enters a room, they don't have that excuse.

The Fralli aren't that bad, all creatures great and small and ugly have an equal chance of betterment in the Federation.

So I'm watching Naked and Afraid on Discover Channel and they encountered a Fralli. I know this because they guy got shocked and they had to blur everything because the Fralli are so ugly.

Glad I am in TN and not VA...

(sigh) Poor Fralli.
By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Monday, August 17, 2015 - 01:07 am: Edit |
Poor? Aren't they still drawing royalties off the Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder"??

About a few months ago i found out what a Fralli looks like. I do not see them as being defined ugly. Just look at the many other species in the SFB universe.
"Eye of the Beholder" what is ugly and what is beautiful.
OK, lets be clear here, i don't love the Fralli either.

As I pointed out to Jean on FB, I have a new weapon for the war against the Darleks: Fralli!

Would a Medusa work as an alternative?
By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 02:28 pm: Edit |
I just dont see it as an alternative profit center for ADB... life like Fralli statues.
Granted apart from paying off the Medusa, there would be no fixed or variable costs in producing the Fralli statues, the problem is paying off the customers to take the Fralli Statues off of ADB's hands.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 02:28 pm: Edit |
Be nice to the Fralli, now.
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 02:51 pm: Edit |
On the other hand, I can see a big market for Fralli statues: shooting ranges!
By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 03:18 pm: Edit |
Really, Steve? How would you hit the target? Would you be able to look at it thru the scope??

Lots of plaster?
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 04:47 pm: Edit |
No Fralli statues for shooting.
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 04:57 pm: Edit |
Well, at least the statues won't get messy. Even birds won't approach them.
By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 05:19 pm: Edit |
You know, really... we aren't talking about "real_Fralli_Statues"... the subject is real Fralli that just by happenstance and luck happen to have looked at a Medusa and changed in to stoned Fralli.
Its not like they would feel any pain, or feel anything at all as they got shot to various component pieces.
Stoned Fralli just might be the highest evolutionary state the Fralli could hope to achieve in any universe, let alone the Star Fleet Universe.
By A. David Merritt (Adm) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 05:31 pm: Edit |
However, would the Medusa be able to look at the Fralli to turn them to stone?
By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 06:16 pm: Edit |
Or would a Medusa, looking at a Fralli, be turned to stone?
By Glenn Hoepfner (Ikabar) on Friday, August 21, 2015 - 06:46 pm: Edit |
Both would be stoned with enough weed.
