If you're worried about what someone who seemed to go onto the BBS to claim credit for all ADB's hard work whilst insulting and (in my opinion) borderline threatening other BBS members, I'd treat that with exactly the right amount of attention it deserves - which is none. Zero. Zip. Nada. It's great to hear how everyone does beyond our shared interest in the SFU, and I echo what the previous posters have said.

For my 0.002 Quatloos worth, the openness we share on these boards has made our community more than a team; we're more like a family.*

Families are more likely to stick together through thick and thin than are "Engineering Teams."

As far as this particular problem goes, IMO, the way things got so far out of hand over something so minor shows the wisdom of one of the rules of posting on these boards; it seems all too likely that EVERY discussion of politics could generate firestorms.


(* In our little "Family," we do seem to have more than our fair share of folks vying for the "Weird Uncle" role, like a certain Fester Addams. However, I will nominate myself to be the front runner in that category... )

Next week on the 20th is when Al and I will be getting married. This is a very busy week for me as we are moving me out of the apartment as well as making plans for the wedding day.
