You can use this topic to request or suggest or nominate "extras" for future newsletters. Not all extras will come from suggestions here, but at least some will.

We do two (sometimes three or more) extras per issue and try very hard to accomplish these goals:
1. Give you something for each of our game systems every calendar quarter.
2. Not give you two items for one game system in one issue.
3. Give you things you can actually use.
4. Sometimes give you samples of new products so you can get a free taste of things.
5. Extras are NOT a place for entirely new ships. We may do one (that we decided to put into the game) but requests for new ships go through the new ship procedure and cannot be done as extras.

Anyway, nominate at will!

I might comment that some things are all but impossible to do. For example, if you asked for a Hydran Lord Bishop for ACTASF, we cannot do that as the rules for fusion beams haven't been fully written yet.

Jean is particularly partial to requests to add a ship which is in Shapeways to your favorite game.

Either way, I'll try not to be too greedy, and ask for a playtest Federation Commander Ship Card for the Federation Advanced Galactic Survey Cruiser from Star Fleet Battles Module X1.

With first-generation X-ships now arriving on the Shapeways storefront, I'm hoping that there might be the potential for a Fed GSX mini in the fullness of time.

In any event, one could try out such a Ship Card against the Andromedans in the Alpha Octant, as well as to make use of the Omega and LMC playtest packs for FC to follow the pioneering voyages of NCC-1821 USS Sakharov across those distant regions of space and back again.

I'd like to see an entirely new hull for the Hydrans for SFB, perhaps a 'real' light cruiser or heavy frigate. Perhaps it was an Old Colonies Shipyard project.

Richard, that would be interesting (although I see nowhere to insert it in the Hydran stack) but is not appropriate for a Hailing Frequencies Extra. An extra would be something like "this ship is in SFB but has never been ported over to FC."

Joe, there are already several Fed SCS ships in SFB.

To be clear, this is NOT a place to request entirely new ships. There is a procedure to do that. If you want a given ship ported over to another game, THAT is an appropriate free extra.

How about a write up detailing APT (armed Priority Transport) variants. The update is in the proposals board, been there a couple of years. Nothing for F&E, but SFB, FC and GURPS PD would be interested.

If you really want to give a bonus to the RPG crowd, include some “adventure hooks” on how to add such a APT variant to a campaign (such as the player group gets hired to deliver a APT-R (repair ship version of a APT) to a customer. Only the players don’t know the customer is an Orion Cartel, and the players group are not supposed to get paid or live through the job...)

I felt the freebie was the GURPS PD adventure hooks.

Color F&E counters for ships in recent Captain's Log that I can print. Not all the time, but a few here and there.

Updates to the ship name index. Not all the time, but a few minor updates here and there. For example, I have a Shapeways Fed war dreadnought painted up but no name or hull numbers to go with it.
