Daily Mail needs Jean to edit their headlines. (sigh) This on reads "WWI tunnel of DEATH is unearthed: How 270 German troops were buried alive for a century when French shells collapsed both exits leaving them to suffocate".

So, they were "buried alive for a century"? Doesn't that mean they're still alive????


Another one they do a lot is "man shots dead wife". If she's already dead, why'd he shoot her?

In the topic "Star Fleet Universe Discussion Board: Star Fleet Battles: STELLAR SHADOWS: Stellar Shadows proposals : Feds Without Seeking Weapons", I am having to repeat myself all the time because posters are obviously not reading anything that gets archived.

Would it be OK to put a "sticky" post at the top that contains the main proposal? If so, I can send it to you via email (so that it contains the results of the discussion, too). That hopefully let the conversation move better and let me not repeat myself nearly as much. Bonus points if it is easy to update, too.

the server isn't configured to automatically redirect people to the secure URL.

For the record, redirecting from http to https is no longer considered good practice. So, even if redirect did work, it should still use the https URL.

And, while on the subject, here is my irregularly raised request:

Please move the FC Forum to https. I know the software supports it. It is literally just changing a configuration and installing a certificate. And it is very much the correct thing to do.

In fact, the entire site (outside Discus because it can't) should be set up for https. But, since the FC Forum requires usernames and passwords, it really, really needs to be updated to https.

Please?

We are looking into this. It is tricky, expensive, and not strictly necessary. We have another way to solve the cart issue which will be implemented soon. The problem is that discuss/BBS is not designed to run with HTTPS and it may be difficult or impossible to convert the entire site to HTTPS without wrecking the BBS. Research continues.
