FCOL: I sent them Middle Years ships 18, 19, and 20 from Briefing #2. I set up ships 29-32 for the future.
F&E-WB: Ryan (apparently on fire) cleared blocks 35-36-37-59-60+62+63+68-69-70+75+77. I sent him 35-36-37+39+59-60-61-62-63+71+77-78. I set up 78-87 to stay ahead of the staff. I have 88-99 assembled and ready to put into the email program but they are all stuff that is not part of the StratCon Four. I sent the staff a 3 August deadline for PO final and CO pre-proofreading.
Rangers: Sergeant-Major Beddow released the new Ranger Handbook.
SFB Module R2 Revision: Steve Petrick gave this to me yesterday and I reviewed and approved his work today with minor updates on page 2.
SFB Module A+: Jean asked Steve Petrick and I to explore getting this into the PDF store.

Thursday JULY 29th 2021
FCOL: I sent them Middle Years ships 21, 22, and 23. I set up ships 33, 34, 35, and 36, half of the ships in Briefing #2.
F&E-WB: Ryan cleared Q&A Blocks 39+71. I sent him 72, 73, 74, 76, and 79. I set up 88 and 89. Blocks 90-99 are ready to go but not in the email outbox yet.
Thursday Marketing Meeting: We decided it was possible to make SFB-A+ a PDF product and put it in line with PO, R4J, R2-rev, and FC Klingon Pack 5.
Checkup call from the doctor’s office. The arm I hurt 2 June doesn’t bother me at all but the leg I hurt 1 May is still sore as heck. I walk with a limp and cannot run.

Friday JULY 30th 2021
FCOL: I sent them Middle Years ships 24-25-26. I got 37-38-39-40 ready for future shipment.
F&E-WB: Turtle cleared blocks 54, 57, 58. I sent him 80-81-82+85-86 then I sent Ryan 83 and 84 just to make sure they didn’t run out over the weekend. We have cleared the first 71 blocks and 1 more down the road (72 out of 99, so 27 are left). I moved 90-99 (all that’s left) from the word processor to Email.

Monday AUGUST 2nd 2021
Shapeways release day: Jean released 18 new items.
FCOL: I sent them Middle Years ships 34-35-36. That leaves 36 middle years ships (and four lost ships) to send before Leanna’s surgery on the 16th, which is doable. I got 41-44 ready for shipment.
F&E-WB: Warren/Turtle cleared blocks 81, 82, 85, and 86. I sent him 87, 88, 89, and 90. That leaves nine blocks that have not been sent out, and 12 that are in the hands of Ryan and Thomas Warren Turtle Mathews. There were no further fixes for PO (tomorrow noon is the deadline), but I made a few for CO. Leanna decided that the hard copy version of PO-2021 gets released 4 Aug 21 not 4 Feb 22, effectively canceling the entire stage 8 release schedule (Feb-May 2022). Once tomorrow noon rolls around there will not be another updated version of PO before all nine other books are updated which is 2-5 years from now. In one of those things that annoy me more than anything else (i.e., a suddenly extra task that could have been mentioned earlier but now threatens to derail the project), Jean decided that PO-21 needed a color cover. Leanna sent the parts to Simone by Email to see if she can get it done. Lar Bergen suggested a reshuffling of SO-540.25 that didn’t change anything but made it easier to read.

Tuesday AUGUST 3rd 2021
FCOL: I sent them Middle Years ships 37, 38, 39, and 40, finishing the Orions.
F&E-WB: There being no further reports on PO I closed the project. There being no further reports on CO I sent it (hardcopy, PDF, and Text) to Jean for proofreading and sent PDFs to the staff and stratconnners. Then I went back and corrected the spelling of Lar Bergen in all four books. Then I re-PDFed the PO21 book because I discovered it was set on low resolution and sent the high-definition book to Jean for upload and to Leanna for printing hard copies. Ryan cleared blocks 72, 73, 74, 76, 79, 83, and 84 (seven blocks!). I sent him 91-97, leaving only two blocks unsent (and only 14 total incomplete). We can see the end!
Staff Meeting: Handed over PO for publication and CO for proofreading. Decided to work on FC Klingon Epack #5 next. Jean is proofreading A+ and crying. Steve Petrick finished the revision to SFB Module R2 rulebook and will start the R1 MSSB.

Wednesday AUGUST 4th 2021
I sent Simone updated website release schedules. I reviewed an Android AP for an SFB damage and impulse thing we may release this fall. I worked on four brand new Klingon ships to be added to Fed Commander Klingon ePack #5 (E40, D50, D60, D70) and finished the Klingon HF5.
FCOL: Tuesday night I got the last four Hydran ships ready to fly. I sent the guys ships 41-42-43-44 which were the first four Hydrans. I got the ten Lyrans (47-56) ready to fly.
F&E-WB: Ryan cleared blocks 91 and 96. (12 to go!)

Thursday AUGUST 5th 2021
FCOL: I sent them Briefing #2 ships 45-48. I got four WYN ships 57-60 ready to fly.
F&E-WB: No Q&A blocks from the staff.
Staff Meeting: Discussed release of PO21 and changes to accounting and shipping procedures. I said I wanted them to not ship orders one day next week and use it to restock inventory. Almost every order coming in requires them to stop the train and print one missing book, which is horrendously inefficient.
FC ePack #5: I created the missing squadron D60 and reset the card numbers to the correct numbers. I created the fleet scale cards for the four new ships and sent the whole pack to Jean and Mike to check.

Monday AUGUST 9th 2021
I sent Simone the newsletter stuff. I did two skiffs for FC for the newsletter and Steve Petrick was working to do the D70 for the newsletter. I heard from Zac about his projects and said I’d chat with him tomorrow. Same for the virtual reality guys who wanted to show me a demo of their software. My streak of 292 days meeting my step goal ended when I fell asleep 15 steps short of the goal for the day.
FCOL: I sent them ships 61-64.
F&E-WB: Jean delivered pages from CO. No Q&A blocks from the staff in five days.

Tuesday AUGUST 10th 2021
FCOL: I sent them ships 65-68. Then I sent them 69-72 just to report completion to the staff meeting.
F&E-WB: No Q&A blocks from the staff in six days. I looked into doing global capitalization searches for CO and gave it up due to complexity only Jean can sort out.
TacOps: Starting working through it.
FedCom Klingon ePack #5: Jean gave me the proofreading report and I started fixing it.
STAFF MEETING: Discussed release schedule for PDF products. Discussed schedule for Leanna’s surgery and my absence. Newsletter was released.

FCOL: I sent them card 911-Fed CAR and a replacement for an earlier card with a mistake.
FC Klingon ePack 5: We had to resolve the 14 year old mistake in the C8 before I could finish the C9. THEN I did the counters for the pack and finished it. Then I got an email from Mike West who is late with his report and told him to get it done by Saturday noon.

FCOL: I sent them ship 915.
F&E-WB: I renumbered and shuffled the TacOps scenarios and started cleaning up the format. (Each was done to a different style sheet in a different publication in a different year; they all need to look like they are part of the same book.) Turtle cleared blocks 80, 87, 88. I sent him 98 and 99, the last two blocks to go out. That just leaves eight blocks (89, 92, 93, 94, 95, 97, 98, 99).
STAFF MEETING: We ordered a new Kyocera printer and discussed the future of ADB. (No, we are not going out of business. Sheesh.)

Monday August 16th: Leanna had serious spine surgery in her lower back (a bunch of metal rods and screws and stuff) to end the chronic pain she has endured for the last year. She came through like a champ, ate some supper and went to sleep. We expect her to spend several days in the hospital and then a month at home. (When she gets home I will probably take two entire weeks off and spend with her as she cannot be left alone during that critical period.) That may slightly delay the release of COMBINED OPS 21 but we will get it out early in Sept.

Tuesday AUGUST 17th 2021
Leanna is in a lot of pain, but that is expected for the kind of surgery. She is in good spirits and mentally alert despite the flood of pain and pain killers.
F&E-WB: Ryan cleared Q&A blocks 91-97 and Warren cleared block 89; that completes the project. I started making Jean’s typo corrections to Combined Ops 21, finishing 100, 300, and 400 (pages 1-16, about one-fourth of the book). Jean agreed not to work on 600 until I was gone for a week, and I agreed not to work on it until she was going to take several days off.

Leanna is still in still dealing with a lot of pain but is making progress. They think they will move her to physical therapy today.
F&E-WB: I made Jean’s fixes to pages 17-27 as that is all Jean did so far. She promised to do more tonight. I spent some time fixing things in TacOps.

SFB: Jean had me whip up an R2 rulebook cover so she could print some of the updated rulebooks.
F&E-WB: Jean had proofed five more pages of CO21 (the 520 ground combat thing) and I made those fixes. There were no CO reports for me to work on.
