I have no current way to contact Phil Shanton, but I would guess he is the one that wrote it. Does anyone else have a means of getting in touch and asking him?

Somebody Asked a Question, that I cannot find right now, about an HDW-E escort apparently for an HDW-E carrying F-111s. I am afraid that under the rules an Escort, and that would include an HDW-E escort, for a Heavy Fighter Carrier, wither Scout Carrier, Dreadnought with one Squadron of Heavy Fighters, or Plain old Vanilla CV that happens to have a heavy fighter squadron, or a heavy destroyer with a heavy fighter squadron is equipped to service the most common standard fighter of the empire. An escort, even if it is a Heavy Destroyer with an Escort package, will be equipped to service The Standard Fighters, and not have a semi external bay for F-111s.

It was in Rule -> Q&A from Scott Tenhoff (I hope I got his name correct). And that was the second question. He also asked if HDWs could even carry F-111s at all.

Steve Petrick will be taking a few days off since he never takes his vacation days and we thought he needed a rest. If you need anything from him that cannot wait you can ask me by email.

Steve Petrick is expected to return to work in a couple of weeks. He suffered a stroke on 31 Dec and was taken to the hospital by a sheriff's deputy who found him. The doctors determined that a series of strokes was caused by undiagnosed high blood pressure and other factors, which are now under control by medication, so there should be no more strokes. Steve is capable of extended conversations and should make a full recovery. He is out of the hospital and in a rehab facility to gain strength for a return to work and his home.

I don't want to get into details because of privacy laws, but I can say that over the last two weeks I have seen Steve improve a great deal. At first he could not communicate, then later he could but he would get stuck trying to find the right word, then he could carry out extended conversations without a bit of trouble. He went from unable to do simple arithmetic (what is six times seven) to able to do complex math in his head. From unable to remember major things to remembering those things down to the smallest detail. Right now the problems are more physical than mental. He cannot walk without a serious risk of falling down. That's what the rehab department is working on.

Sounds like SPP is making a good recovery, hopefully he will continue to do so.

Praying for SPP! Be well!
But it is a reminder to us all: Keep up with physicals and examinations. Helps identify problems before they become serious problems!
