Just to keep you up-to-date.

One of my oncologists was worried about my iron-based anemia. The results from today's tests are that there is nothing wrong in the upper or lower region. That means that next there's a test to see my small intestine. I'll swallow a pill with a camera and go from there. (Somehow in my mind, I am combining Fantastic Voyage with the iRobot vacuum commercial.) If that comes back clean, then I am just one of those folks with low iron.

I should be back at work tomorrow.

Jean and Al have COVID and will be out for a while, quarantined at home. In theory that would stop orders from going out this week. I am checking with Mike (and trying to coax Leanna out of retirement) to see what can be done to avoid an interruption of service. We have all given them our best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. They seem to have moderate to mild symptoms. Mike, Steve P, and I don't have symptoms (yet).

I cannot make sense of it. I guess whatever he's talking about is something that was done that way by the company that set up Fed commander 15 or 20 years ago. I don't even understand most of the terms he is using.

SVC: If your curious I can go into detail on those terms and what they mean. With all due respect, I have the impression it does not interest you.

The shorter version is that the FC_Fourm "theme" is terribly broken. There is no text at all, just a mass of black and a few icons scattered around the screen. The default "theme" works fine however.

If you wanted to try modifying your profile to use that 'theme' you'll see why I am reporting it.

When your done looking at the quantum singularity, click on the leftmost, lower row, label-less icon at the top. That will pull up your profile, where you can scroll down though the cloaked web form headings, looking for a white box with "FC_Forum" in it. Clicking on that box will bring up a drop down, select SubSilver, click the save button at the bottom of the page then reload the page and your back in business.

Jeff, your impression is wrong, but perhaps not in the way you think. If it didn't interest me, I would have just ignored the question. I simply commented that the terms you use are unfamiliar, things I have never heard of, so I cannot answer your question. I don't know what a forum theme is, for example, but there seems to be nothing but text on the forum. I have never seen a "mass of black" and don't know how to respond about it. I wouldn't have a clue how to modify my profile to see a different theme. Nor would I have much interest. When Al made some changes a few months ago someone had to tell me he did or I would not have seen them. Even then I didn't think they helped much.

And I long ago decided that since I cannot understand quantum theory, I'm not going to try any more. I'm sure it's real (the big bang and dark matter and the expanding universe definitely aren't) but I cannot comprehend quantum theory.

Jean came to me moments ago with the cover for Strat Ops, saying we had made a typo and mis-spelled a word.

She noted that the back cover said

"We need a whole new strategery."

What Jean could not figure out was that this was a quote of George W Bush.

I told her to leave it alone. She said she would deal with it appropriately.
