Try Firefox, unlike Edge, it is not a reskinned Chrome, and may work if Chrome and Edge are not.

I use firefox at work. I'll ask Albert to come install it on my home computer at his next opportunity. I think he needs to do something about the wireless in Leanna's girlcave anyway.

I installed Firefox all by myself (triumph!) but while it says it imported my bookmarks, it actually did NOT import them. It also did not import my passwords which is another huge problem. However, it does not have the lock-up problem EDGE has.

Apparently, my email has stopped working. This is a temporary thing due to the migration, but I had been told this would not happen until noon Thursday. I'm not particularly upset that it happened ahead of that schedule. If I don't reply to your email it means I cannot, not that I don't want to. I should be back in contact tomorrow or Friday but you know how these things go so it might be Monday.

ATTN STRATCON: I will have to ask you guys to forgive me if I don't drop by very often (or very long). My teeth are still driving me nuts (causing me to slur and slobber) and I am nursing a sick cat. (Those of you blessed to have human children please note that all of the love and energy you put into them could, for me and Leanna, only go into cats. They are human to us.)

Thor was always a finicky eater, loved people food (shrimp, hamburger, ham, chicken, turkey) and just would not eat canned catfood. Six weeks ago he started eating fewer and fewer things; for the last four weeks nothing but shrimp. That gave him a seriously unbalanced diet and no end of problems. We took him to the vet who determined he had a raging infection. She gave him medicine that we could not get him to take. (Bengals can be savage about refusing to let you put something in their mouth. We ran out of bandaids.) Back to the vet, she installed a feeding tube so we could get him medicine and canned science diet catfood into him. I got him home a few hours ago and it's going to be touch and go. He still needs the tube to get the medicine down but he has suddenly started eating canned catfood for the first time in his life, which means we don't have to feed him by the tube.

He is still a very sick boy who requires 24/7 human attention, which means us staying awake in shifts. That's going to make it hard for me to leave the house for more than an hour at a time at least the next 3-4 days and maybe all week.

Thor seems to be gaining. He has a healthy appetite without the drugs to make him eat, and he's started coming out of the Amazon box he's been hiding in most of time since he got home last night. (He comes out to eat every couple of hours, but now he is cuddling up in Leanna's chair with her. His temperature is down a little.

MONDAY 24 JULY: What time I spent in town I spent running errands.

TUESDAY 25 JULY: I went to the office briefly but had a doctor appointment (regular visit with primary care doctor) and on the doctor's recommendation I went home afterwards to de-stress. Thor is better, eating more, hiding less, we need to give him his medicine.

Hello SFB Community,

I am the one that invited 30-ish of you to receive SFB-related emails from our email announcement list.

We have about 250 of you on our subscriber list already. I sent invitations to those of you who are not subscribed, but seem to be active in SFB/SFU activity.

It seems something happened at Dreamhost. The invites used to have more explanation about the source, and why you received it. I will have to find my old file and update that.

The Schenectady Wargamers Association (the SWA part of that URL) is the host of the largest face-to-face SFB tournament in the whole world, and has been for many years now. Our annual gaming convention, Council, is one of the longest-running gaming cons in existence. If you have Dragon Magazine #2 up on your shelf, you will see an advertisement for Council of Five Nations back in 1979(!).

We are cranking-up the marketing for Council 2023, coming next month, September 22-24.

And, we are also preparing for our last Big Bang Blowout SFB/SFU event in the summer of 2024 (probably July 2024). This will be a stand-alone event, FIVE straight days of SFB/SFU gaming. This is (probably) the last event we will sponsor, so we want to go out with a Bang!
