While cleaning out the last batch of spam from the FC Forum, there is one post I can't delete. I cleaned it out (so the contents and title are gone), but I can't delete the post because I get an error from PHP. Basically, the error seems to imply that it had the number of posts wrong and I can't delete it because it would take the post count to -1.

Anyway, the post is now called "[deleted]" and I can't make it disappear.

Mike, for what its worth, that sounds suspiciously like a back-end database exploit may have been used or attempted to one degree or another. Inducing a Stack Overflow is a common means to slip behind the screen as it were.

It might be a good idea for the relevant people to check the integrity of the databases the site uses. Especially the authorized users and whitelists.

To keep you in the loop. On Tuesday, I had my yearly mammogram. On Wednesday, they called me with the news that they had seen "something suspicious."

I go in for more tests on December 8.

I know the odds are that it is something harmless. I just have this fear that it is the cancer returning.

I will let keep you informed.
