MONDAY 11 MAY
I spent most of today at the doctor, having two skin cancers (#24, #25) cut out of my neck and shoulder. The doctor also froze a half dozen tiny ones with nitrogen. The doctor is a personal friend and fellow coin collector. I took my collection of biblical coins (widow's mite, Judas shekel, Tiberian penny) to show him what artistry was done 2000 years ago. I also showed him my oldest coin (a Lydian bronze that is 2700 years old) and my favorite (a Greek tetradracha that is 2200 years old) and some Egyptian, Syrian, and Roman coins from 2400BC-200AD.

EVERYBODY READ THIS: A few times in the past few decades, someone has circulated "a document" of one type or another and said "this is SVC approved." Sometimes it was, sometimes it was not. If you are ever given such a document and told I approved it, ASK ME before basing any decision or action on that status. You especially want to ASK ME if the information with the document is some kind of secret which is not to be discussed on line. You absolutely want to ASK ME if someone says "SVC approved this but do not email him about it." This is just to prevent confusion. I'm not angry or upset with anyone about anything but something got passed around recently that someone "assumed" had been approved by me. No end of people create a circulate no end of things and when someone asks "Did SVC approve this?" the person answering the question might not actually know the correct answer. I do.

I prefer to assume that NONE of them are.

If something is SVC approved, it'll be here, on the ADB, Inc. Website.

If I ever manage to create an SSD (or anything else that's SFU related) that's SVC approved, I'd ask that it be posted here (or published in a Captain's Log).

I had planned to finish K this week. (I think Petrick did finish the SSD book.) It's close to being finished but not there totally. I still have to edit a few pages (campaign and notes) and the Albert has to fix the art and the layout, and even then Jean has to proofread it. Albert couldn't start on that this week because I didn't get to the end. Part of that was I was sick and got to work late today, and part of it was I spend two entire days fixing nothing but the format for the PF versions and variants. Every empire used a different format, but now they are much close to standardized. So this will drag into next week when I was going to do Part One of the F&E boxed game rulebook revision, which will get pushed to another week sometime as I need to do more fixes to the Civil Wars next week.
