The "MY" ships are Middle Years ships from Briefing #2, and there are also some of the Early Years playtest ships from CL39. In the next version of the client, drone speed will be user-changeable in FCOL, so the client will be able to handle speed-16 Middle Years drones and speed-8 Early Years drones.

I just sent them 3 M.Y. ships and set up three more for Saturday and four more for Sunday which is 33 of the 72. I want to have everything ever printed for FC into FCOL by the end of August, which means sending it to them before the middle of August when Leanna's surgery will take me out of the office for a while.

I have sent 52 of the 72 ships in Briefing #2 to FCOL and have the other 20 ready to send immediately on request.

After that, there are a dozen or so lost souls wandering around that never made it to FCOL (but they will in time) and then we can talk about the Magellanics, Omegas, and whatever else there is knocking about. There are ten new Klingons coming soon in FC Klingon ePack #5 of which five are already in FCOL and five are not. Then we do about two ships every three months in the newsletter and a few every Captain's Log.

I should comment that Chris and his team are doing a great job and are not expected to do everything I send them the day I send it. The point of my sending them stuff is to avoid delaying them. If they have 20 ships not yet done that is fine. If they want to do ships today and I haven't send them anything, that is a problem.

I will also say that if anybody wants a specific ship from SFB brought to FC/FCOL just email me and I will do it if nothing prevents it.

For example, you might want the Klingon D5J or you might want "a Klingon general purpose combat ship in the 90-98 range."

We haven't done the carriers and won't until FIGHTERS ATTACK is released next year.

The reason only one ship was submitted this week is because we are done! As of today, EVERY ship released for Federation Commander is available for play in FCOL, with a few exceptions:

1 - The carriers and fighters in Communique 114-128 are not in FCOL yet. It was decided to wait until the release of Fighters Attack to add fighters for the various empires (beyond Hydrans) to the client.

2 - The Omega, LMC, and Lost Empires playtest ships have not been added, as they require new weapons that are not currently available in the FCOL client. The same goes for the Early Years Hydrans from CL39 and the Peladine ships from Communique.

Beyond that, to the best of our combined knowledge, every ship from every product, booster, Captain's Log, and Communique is in there. If we missed something, please bring it to our attention and we will add it to the library.

As new ships for FC are released, we will add them to the client. If a ship appears in Hailing Frequencies, you can count on it showing up in FCOL soon afterward.

NOTE: As I write this, Klingon Ship Card ePack #5 has gone up for sale on w23. This pack includes some ships (the Mission Cruisers) that are new to FC, so we will be adding these to the library when SVC returns in September.

A big thank you to SVC and Paul Franz, who found time in their busy schedules to collaborate on this project. The fact that it is complete now rather than months from now is largely due to the work of Sebastian Pallozi, who creates ship defs faster than I can keep him supplied with cards to work on.

Question Paul - how do HETs work in the client? I tried the "quick turn" direction arrow, but that just turnsd the ship, and costs 1 movement point. We couldn't see how to pay the required energy for the manoeuvre. I note that EM is via a single button - could we do the same thing for a HET?

I just looked into this. And It seems that I missed that when I changed the UI to use the Game Control Window from a Fed Com specific control. I will work on fixing this. In the meantime, you can go to the ship and select "Adjust Energy". Click "Go" and change the energy to be the correct amount (ie. current energy - energy required to HET)
