In my fiction writings, I really want the Police "FLAG" or "FLAGS" ship to be an acronym for something. In discussions with my new best friend, Chat-GPT, I have come up with two possible ideas.
FLAGS = Forensics, Logistics, Augmentation, Gendarme, Support
or
FLAGS = Forensics, Logistics, Administration, Gendarme, Support
Either one sounds like something that came out of a committee.

Don't police flagships usually have a single special sensor, not so much for EW as for general traffic monitoring and control? So "surveillance" might be another possibility for the "S".

Not set in stone, but I'm leaning towards:
Forensics, Logistics, and Administrative Gendarme Support.
In committee, gendarme was originally "Police Support", but that would have made it "FLAPS".
