CL55 SSD Suggestions: Hydran Pegasus Ships: PGZ and PGE
Both of these ships are in F&E but there are no SFB SSDs published AFAIK. Both these units are listed as "FUTURE" in the R-section reference number. The PGZ (YIS Y150) is the base hull cargo ship as used by the Guilds; the PGE (YIS Y174) is the heavy escort.
Quote:Ref: FO-2015 Page 10:
Hydran PGZ: This is the original Pegasus base hull. It is a cargo-only variant. It is not a tug or theater transport but they may support tug missions: D (supply point like an LTT); H (economic transfer); V (special raid supply), and may transport personnel (DIP, ADM, etc.). PGZs can be converted into other PG variants.

Has the decision been made yet, which ships will be included in CL 55?
Can we still offer suggestions?

No, and you can email me if you wish.

If we can still give suggestions, I would like to request that some Carnivon ships in the 160s, 170s, and 180s BPV range be added. There is a gap of non-carrier ships in these areas. The Command Cruiser for 161 ands the Fast Cruiser is 166, but that is about it.

Stephen, that is a gap common to most non-plasma empires.

Alex: yes, you are right. There are a few exceptions, and it gets a bit more complicated when you add things like drones, fighters, and upgrades, but it is largely correct. I have been trying the Carnivons recently, and they are more interesting than I first thought. I have wanted to try the Carnivons against some of our group's ships in that range, but there was nothing I could use.

For what it's worth, there is a would-be "Module C6R" discussion thread elsewhere on the BBS, in case you had thoughts as to what additional "lost empire" Carnivon - and Paravian - ships you might like to see added to the game system.
Which might well include any new ships being offered for them in this or other issues of Captain's Log, of course.
For example: I could see both empires being given heavy command cruisers, which might help in terms of closing the BPV gaps between their respective CCs and BCHs...

Gary, thanks! I'll look into it.
