Duane Clark is in the Pittsburgh area the last I knew. But I have not seen him on here for a while. Maybe he'll pop in at Origins.

CJ, I'm in Fort Wayne.
There's a wargaming group that meets at the Griffon downtown South Bend. They do SFB once in a while.
I use Cyberboard personally, plus a tool developed by Eric Smith.

Glad to see there is interest in Eric's tools.

a tool? I love tools more than Tim Taylor! anyone got a link?
By Randy Blair (Randyblair) on Saturday, June 08, 2013 - 11:42 am: Edit |
Yeah, Eric rocks.
He wrote a tool simply because I asked him to.
I needed a way to use my operational rules that transition F&E to SFB scenarios, and he made it so I could put the close up hexes on the F&E map. Pretty ingenious he is.
If he has other stuff, I'd be happy to try them out.

Bill email Eric and he will send it to you. I do not think he has it on his server for download yet.
Search for Eric Smith (Badsyntax) to get his e-mail.

Thanks Ken, I haven't gotten back into SFB yet, so that tool wouldn't be useful to me. I did some programming back in the old days. I have been thinking about a java chat / battle room for online play. It is way over my head to create, but I am still looking.

I've posted this in General Discussions as well.
I am in two games right now playing 2 different Coalition races. I haven't played the Coalition for a long time, and I am finding it interesting.
What I'd like to do is play the General War, and play the entire Coalition by myself. I've got some ideas that I want to implement and the fact that I could do it all is very appealing to me.
So, I'm looking for someone to play the Grand Campaign with. Just to clarify a few points:
1 - I don't mind if the Alliance is more than one player, but I would like the game to keep moving, so if possible I'd like the person or persons to have the ability to keep the game moving. We all have real life, but I've got some time right now and I want to take advantage of it.
2 - All official rules and expansions. No Orion Pirates.
3 - Drone Raids - I don't know what to do about this one. I'd like to playtest whatever Chuck thinks is the direction we are going in, but there have been so many versions posted at this point, I'd need more guidance to figure out what to do. I DON'T want to play with the existing rules.
4 - I'd like to use Cyberboard and Mike Parker's great economics form. I like how it keeps track of things.
If any of you are interested, please feel free to e-mail me or respond here. I am ready to start pretty quickly.

Petercool, did you get a response?
I've alwasy been a coalition player, so I know what you are capable of, I might be a decent adversary.

Anyone in the Atlanta area looking for FtF game? I am 3 weeks away from having the new game room finished and will have plenty of space to setup a large scale map for an indefinite amount of time.

Thomas:
You mean Richard Abbot? Or another Richard? Are you available for some play after or around March 1? I want to wait until the contractor finishes my basement before I set up a game (don't want to have to break it down).

I'm interested in playing the Gathering Winds Scenario from ISC War. This looks like it could be not as time consuming as the General War and it would give us a chance to play a bit in the neglected East.
Anyone interested in playing this with cyberboard? We could play with 2 or 3 players. For myself I'd be interested in running the Romulans/Gorns (or just the Roms if we get 3 players).

It is time once again to invite any SW Ohio and central Ohio players to join the team. There are two slots still open in a new F&E game starting in Xenia Ohio on Saturday 28 June 2014.

Keith, keep your calendar open for late June of next year. Murfreesboro, TN is not that far away. Imagine a whole week of F&E!

Richard,
It can't be more than 10,000 kilometers either direction.
