And we all know vortexes are one way at any given time.

Lar: This is what I'm talking about. I don't think ships in warp should be flying blind like that. Warp drive is not hyper-space!

I finally had a chance to watch it. The entire time I was thinking "I don't think these kids can steer" and the Bones line, "Would you like a sedative?"
haha

A teaser trailer was posted on the official Franchise website for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Season 2 of Picard is pretty good, new star ship designs and lots of comments harking back to the older series'.
Looking forward to Strange New Worlds too.

Big improvement over season 1, but I am having too much fun and don’t want them to go back in time now.

I agree with that, Nick!

This channel has a bunch of 3D deck plans for various starships from the franchise. Very cool.

I wish I had the skill to take my 2D deck plans for the Police cutter and render them to 3D.

Well now you can afford to have someone do it for you. BTW (congrats again!)

Yeah saw that too. I love how Riker running towards camera and then struggling with someone (no spoiler), emulated Kirk doing that in TAS exactly!

With just a few days to go before its North American debut, the opening title sequence to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been posted to the official Franchise website.
A reminder that season 1 begins this Thursday on Paramount+ in the U.S., or on CTV Sci-Fi Channel and the Crave streaming service in Canada.

Wow...
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds didn't stink. Maybe there is new hope for this new 'Enterprise'...
...the good news is that it looks like we will get to see a truer Roddenberry version in this 'Trek'.
The other improvement is that we were not bombarded with "The Message"...and please don't ask me to explain what that means...
By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Friday, May 06, 2022 - 10:08 am: Edit |
Based on Col. Strong's report, I might actually watch it...

I'm nothing short of happy with Strange New Worlds so far.
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, May 13, 2022 - 10:23 pm: Edit |
I found it watchable, but...
Injecting 2021 politics is a design to fail situation. Get half of the audience to leave and then see how successful you are.
The whole "Pike saw his future" plotline turns me off.
Their version of the Gorns seems designed to push SFU further away from ST.

Episode One is on YouTube. I liked it. Can't say I fell in love with it, but I liked it.
