Seems like it. Ph-3s 2x[EF], 2x[CGHI], 2x[DGHI] should be Disruptors.

Email sent to Daniel Kast.

I asked this over at the MJ12 board & didn't get a response from the people in charge, so I'll ask here.

What's next for Starfleet Armada?

By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Sunday, September 18, 2011 - 10:46 am: Edit

Question has been sent to Daniel and SVC.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, September 19, 2011 - 03:43 pm: Edit

Probably battleships armada.

By Bennett Eugene Snyder (Planner) on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 - 04:27 pm: Edit

I've been wondering about something written in Romulan Armada concerning the Fed Battle Frigate and Strike Cruiser.
How can the Third Fleet refuse the allocation of ships to their forces? I would think they'd be outranked and have to use the ships.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 - 05:41 pm: Edit

Political pull. The commander of the 3rd Fleet is the next admiral commanding all of Star Fleet. He didn't get there without the power (connections, friends, influence, politicians on a string) to get what he wants.

Must be a descendent of Ernest J. King.

Is Battleships Armada set to be published in the new Starmada format from the get-go, or will it still be in line with the pre-existing Admiralty Edition-compatible modules?

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - 06:42 pm: Edit

Good question. Might do it both ways. Might just do it the new way. Marketing may have to decide that one.

I am not aware of that errata so no, it has not been worked into the books. If it had been sent to me, I would have worked it in, but I never knew there was any errata.

By Dixon Simpkins (Dixsimpkins) on Thursday, January 19, 2012 - 10:21 pm: Edit

Could a moderator move the above two posts (or the links to the mj12 site) into the Starmada Errata section of the forum? It would make more sense there rather than here.

By Darren Kehrer (Kehrer1701) on Friday, January 20, 2012 - 04:39 pm: Edit

Since SVC didn't know of the errata, I posted here (since errata is locked). My intent was to list here and ask it to be moved, you just beat me to the asking...

My computer won't do it, and Jean is on the road and won't be able to do it before Monday. You might email Joel as his PC will do it.

Thank you!

Should there be a version of Battleships Armada in the Admiralty Edition format, could the Neo-Tholian NBB be given both its disruptor and particle cannon variants, in order to allow it to fight historical battles back in the home galaxy? (With two ship diagrams on each page, perhaps the Milky Way version could be on one half, and the M81 version on the other?)

For that matter, could there be room in the file for the PC-armed Neo-Tholians that were left out of Alien Armada; or maybe even the OGD and OGR? (Perhaps doubled-up to save space?)

Here is a rumor: according to the MJ12 forum the new edition will be called "Starmada:Nova" and there is a preview attached to the second post on this page: http://www.mj12games.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3565&p=26098&hilit=starmada+nova+edition#p26098

By Terry O'Carroll (Terryoc) on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 - 06:42 am: Edit

Rather more than a rumour, you can download the first thirteen pages of the new rulebook.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 - 04:17 pm: Edit

@ Terry, I know about the download, but what I don't see is an "official announcement" that says it will be called "Starmada: Nova" admittedly I am not super familiar with the MJ12 boards. I was just passing on some info I found.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, March 06, 2012 - 04:03 pm: Edit

Not sure what to do with the new starmada edition. We really don't want to make the four existing star fleet books obsolete, and a few of the customers have told us they don't even want a new edition at all. We're tossing around the idea of star fleet just ignoring the nova edition and having Daniel do this year's book (battleships) as an admiral edition book.

Thoughts? do you really want to replace the four books you have? (The new ship format means we'd probably combine them into one larger book, but even so, do you want to rebuy the line or would you rather stay admiral?)

By Terry O'Carroll (Terryoc) on Tuesday, March 06, 2012 - 04:37 pm: Edit

Personally I'd rebuy it.

By Ken Rodeghero (Ken_Rodeghero) on Tuesday, March 06, 2012 - 06:25 pm: Edit

I will purchase the Nova edition of Starmada as I like the changes and have every previous edition. I would like to see the Star Fleet Universe line of Starmada products completed for both editions (Admiral and Nova), personally, and would buy them all.

Ken,
I am with you.
