When damage is halved, for Cloak we round down,
for web we round up, which way do we go for Wild Weasel?

Reading the rule book:

The rule for rounding up on a WW is in the last sentence on page 10.

Cloak drops fractions, as per 6th sentence in last paragraph on page 15.

Web rounding up is in 2nd sentence of first paragraph on page 16.

A bit of rules clarification please.
For the Planet-based fighters, do you stop the fighters by doing 6 points of damage to it, or can you nullify up to six points of damage? Example of my quandry:
You play the card against a ship, it fires 6 points worth of phasers. Are the fighters stopped, or do they just do 2d6 worth of damage?

So, if undamaged, could they produce up to 18 points of damage with a minimum of 8?

A planet-based fighter card rolls two dice, so it could score 2-12 damage points. The defensive fire would be subtracted from this. That much is clear from the rules.

What isn't terribly clear is that if you score 6 or more damage points the squadron goes away and doens't attack at all.

Planet-based fighters:

Do d6+6 damage, minus whatever damage less than six done to them (for example, if 2 points of damage were done to the fighters with, say, a P3 card, the fighters would do d6+6-2, or d6+4, damage).

If 6 or more damage is done to the card, it is eliminated (i.e., it doesn't roll at all).

To follow up on Andy's post, carrier fighters are similar, except there is no separate card (obviously), both groups from a given carrier can attack, and there is no +6 modifier to each attack. Ergo, each fighter group rolls a single d6, minus whatever damage done less than 6. If 6 or more is done, fighter is eliminated (and marked destroyed on the carrier until repaired). 2 fighters = 2d6 - whatever damage done.

And yes, planet-based fighters were designed to be more dangerous than carrier fighters.

Hope this clarifies the issue.
