Jean gave it back to me with 7 corrections (4 of them things she did not find the first time, 2 of them things I missed, 1 of them a Shapeways note that had become obsolete since she read it).

All were fixed, so ACTASF2.2 is done. Tomorrow I will start pounding through the process that will produce the PDF. Doing it could take an hour or a day just depending on how it goes. Checking it could take a day, two or three if other projects get in the way. One way or another, we should have 2.2 in the PDF stores in a week or less.

Still here at 8pm and later. I am almost done generating the PDF pages. Then I have to stich them together and print a copy for Jean to check.

Funny you asked.

I just completed the files for ACTASF Reinforcemens 1 today
This is a collection of 100 units for the existing empires that have new minis available on Shapeways, but require no new rules. Except...

X-Ships. We are adding rules for X-ship, and giving all existing Empires 'some' X-ships. More in Book 3, Reinforcements 2, Book 4, and so on.

Anyway... Book 2 print version.
I began gathering all the submitted notes on typos, errors, and requests for clarifications made so far.
I intend to compile them in to a single, coherent document (along with fixes as needed) and submit to ADB soon.

Getting these fixed made and the print version released will then become an ADB question - but, they cannot go any farther until I finish my part.

I cannot promise to work on it before 1 Oct, but it just depends on how much there is to do. If I can kill it in an hour or two, I will.

From now to 1 Oct I will be busy with CL54 but doing it over four weeks instead of two means there will be an hour or two per day for something else to happen. Such as GURPS KLINGONS REVENGE wait I meant GURPS KLINGONS REVISED and THOLIAN MSSB art.

Reinforcements Book 1 is a way to get all of the units released to Shapeways into the game quickly.
90% of the units selected for inclusion require no added rules and all already available to purchse.
This gives players a way to have official stats for them.

The remaining 10% or so are X-ships. Those are available on Shapeways and only required 2 pages of new rules and very little in the way of play testing.

Book 3 will be a bit longer as all of the new system must be play tested by themselves and against each other. Then against even more empires.
Then additional systems are added that must be play tested with and without prior additions.
Then you add in another major empire and their systems and the whole rebalancing starts all over again.

Then you add a whole new type of unit (fighters) into the mix. You have to balance them out to the point where they are playable, but not uber powerful.

It takes a while. And thing this COVID thing popped up and face to face play in all of the play test groups has ground to a stone cold halt while everyone shelters in place and practices social distancing.

We'll get Book 3 out, but I think ADB has a few other irons in the fire that gives us a little bit of time to get everything as right as we can.

It's been a while since I've heard anything, and wanted to check in. Just wanted to know when book 2 (Print copy, I have the PDF) and the Reinforcements book (PDF or print) is due out, or at least where they sit right now. I KNOW Covid threw a wrench into the works; I haven't been able to meet in person with my gaming group for a long time. AND I wanted to wait until book 2 print to order some stuff from SFU's store.

Just a follow up, I found book 2 on the SFU store a day or two after my previous message, sooo happy to have a print copy! Hopefully in a few months I'll be able to get back to playing regularly after Covid.

I hope to have R1-Early Bird PDF finished by next Tuesday (all I lack is Jean's proofreading report and inserting whatever art I decide to use), but I am running into an issue in that Jean won't be uploading during 15-31 May. Maybe she can upload it on the 12th or 13th.

On the other hand Petrick is racing to finish the print version of R4T and he also wants to have it uploaded during those same days.
