A question on sector maps. When playing through Pagoda and you peformed a sector scan part of the email sent was a zip-file of the sector map. When playing through AoG you only got a bunch of coding (that I was never able to get to work with a printer...lots of hand-drawn maps). Is there any chance of doing the zip file for sector scans? Makes it much easier and neater...plus no chance for errors when you misspell "MO" vice "NO" on your map (and the subsequent loss of ships as they fly headlong into death and destruction).

Kelly,
You mean something like the initial sector map that you get when you start the game.

Apparently Pagoda actually printed their maps, then scanned them to a zip file & mailed them to players as they scanned a sector. Made it VERY easy to print the maps, especially if you lose one every now & then! This would be nice if we could do this from the website as we played each game.

Randy,
That is the plan. I just wanted to know what the maps looked like that Pagoda was delivering.

Silence, dead silence ....
Paul,
Did you get a customer DB from Bruce when you purchased SFW? If you did, you need to make contact with the players & report the game is up & ready to be played again. We only have 10 sign-ups for a DH game so far & it has been several weeks since the site went up.
The rest of the SFW community needs to spread the word too!

I am registered as Silent Assassin on the SF Warlords site and I wish to partially answer the last question. Warlord@play-by-e-mail.com recently replied to my email. I asked the question "Is their a possibility of starting the next cage match game?". The answer was "Yes". No due date was given although it says above that July 19th is the anniversary date. My corporation name will be "Remote Control". Hope I was helpful.

We can use another 8 players (20 total) for the Die Hard variant. Does Paul have the ability to start an 8x8 sector setting which would only require 16 players.

I downloaded a bulid form from aog. I just need to know what kind he's doing. I need to know whether to use my regular or DH initial build.

The start of the Die Hard game is delayed by one day. I have a minor problem with the Cage 4 match that took up all of my time.
BTW, yes I can start an 8x8 sector game.

Don't sweat it SFW was probably a bear for Bruce to run since it's an old program on new hardware.
I've reworked my opening build, and whenever you're ready I'll get it to you.
My only problem is that I can't get the aide to mate up with email yet. I'll have to work something out and USPS in the interval. I hope that doesn't cause a problem.

Cage 4 Turn 1 sent to players.
I will be working on sending out the announcement of the start of Die Hard 20 tonight.
Until I have the Website setup to accept initial builds. You can just send a normal Email to me.

Joe,
Yes, it has started. I have asked for initial builds. All players must respond within two weeks or by dropped from the game.

I sent mine in as part of the email text. Is that good for now or would you prefer something along the lines of a word doc attachment?
