New Die Hard Game starting in 2 weeks (i.e. April 17th, 2011)

A review of the game:

New Die Hard Game starting on April 17th, 2011. If you are
interested in joining , please send an Initial Build to
warlord _at_ play-by-e-mail.com or log into your account and use the Initial Build page for game D29 will be needed by April 17th, 2011.

In addition to the usually Die Hard rules, the game will be using:

1) EV order will be available.
2) Starting year is Y165.
3) Select Sector Special

how is this game going? think there will be a game 31?

As the game draws to a close (turn 30 is due in two weeks), I will say it has been one of the more interesting DH's.

It is a close game, as three corps are straining to make every VP count. My sense is that Monster Bash holds a small lead, but that any of the three corps could end up on top. It is always hard to judge how many ship kills a corp might have generated. See below:

diplomatic efforts, each trying to win the quadrant or at least stop the leaders from doing so.
In a public broadcast the Galactic Council released the names of the Corporations currently
vying for the top spot in the quadrant: Monster Bash! (133) [145 sites, 9 sectors], No
Cucumbers (187) [139 sites, 13 sectors], Blinded by the light (514) [124 sites, 9 sectors]. The
data provided with the Corp names indicates information correct as of the start of Y194.

If patterns hold, I expect that DH31, will start 2 or 4 weeks from now, so as to be on the same schedule.

I agree with DOC, Y165 is better, a slightly slower start, means corps have a better chance to survive. Aggressive corps will need to make their first kill without PFs. DWs are limited early, WGBs and refits are not available for five extra turns if you start at Y165..
