OK, everyone get your vote in for the game you want to get into (DH32 or G88). we'll see what numbers we get before planning an actual start date. It will be up to Paul as to any variations applied to the games.

looks like everyone is ready to start a new DH game. not much interest yet in a standard game. may have to wait until the current game is done.
my builds are ready for a y170 start.

Y-170 will do. I think we should go with a 185 start sometime. Now that would be fun.

Gene,
The issue with time-shift games is that they start fast. By this I mean that everyone has access to DW's pretty much at the start and that refits are only five turns out.
The faster start and the rapidity of "free" stuff means that experienced corps will be at an extra advantage. Now, as we both know, back in the lost days of yore when DH games were first introduced they were supposed to be for experienced players and the extra's would not matter much as everyone was familiar with how to deal with them.
These days DH games are more inclusive, and while I expect there will be a certain amount of canon fodder in every game, should we really deny Paul a few extra game turn fees? A Y170 start will probably end up in 2-4 corps being knocked out 1-2 turns earlier then they would have been otherwise.

Ken,
I agree and disagree at the same time. Yes, a time shift makes things happen faster, but there are also many many notes and such to help a new player get going that we didn't have way back when.
Plus, most of us vets don't go about systematically killing new players because they are new. We kill the players that are in the way of our direction we end up going. I actually try to help new players as long as they don't ask for the moon like one guy did in D30.
According to one player, I was bad for not giving said newer player whatever he wanted.
I think everyone that has made deals with me in the last few games would say I have been pretty fair.
I can be happy with the Y170 shift, but Y165 is boring to me. Stuff happens way to slow.
Just my 2.50.......

I believe D32 should be awarded to Scott Hahn of ACME Rocket Works who just passed away.
The next new game should be D33.
