A wheeled amphibious Romulan GCV perhaps.
All good.

I might push the grav thrusters out more and angle them down a tad (Matrix hovership style). I think it looks too much like a wheeled vehicle that's lost its retreads.

Yeah, the line art was hard to match exactly (hence the "headlights" aren't really finished. I think the grav-thrusters would need modified, especially if other vehicles are made. Angled down is a good/easy solution.

Patrick how well are smoke launchers going to show up at 6mm?

Haven't heard what scale yet.

As for some specifics on this second tank, check out pg 140 of the PD Romulan D20M book.

I would hope it would scaled at 1/285 which is pretty much the same as 1/300 or 6mm soketimes called "Epic" scale.

The OGRE minis are 6mm and most of the more popular sci-fi and modern military minis are that scale.

Traveller minis for Striker tabletop combat and their classic deck plans used 15mm scale.

New Era Traveller and Mega Traveller used 25mm for RPG figures and deckplans.

The majority of modern RPG figures are "Heroic" scale or 30mm. The TFG Star Fleet Marines were "heroic" scale. WH40K is "heroic" scale.

The goto for what is possible with 6mm figures is GHQ, I can see the smoke discharges on their M1A3- http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/n531.html

True on the GHQ stuff, but those are metal. I'm not sure if the same size bump can be done in the lower end 3d printers and materials Also if tholians have walkers, I'll need all of those and matching fleet...
Finally I have a thought about what scale to recommend base on what is the focus of SFU Marines. If tanks and such are the main units, 6-10 mm is a great scale.
If squads are the primary pieces, probably around 15mm is good (not sure how many other games are this scale)
If individuals are the focus 25+ mm would be good but thanks can be rough at this scale because of size.
That all said, we all want at least a prime team / bridge crew at deck plan size (25-28mm for my likes)

Star Fleet Marines (as well as Module M: Star Fleet Marines, a separate game but uses the same units) is squad based with ground vehicles and shuttles.

Prime Directive (all flavors) is individual, being an RPG.

The as yet unpublished KRAG is also individual based, from my understanding.

I play quite a few games that use 15mm and I personally think SFM plays very well some adjustments to the sighting rules for hexless miniature play at 15mm.

Going to need a bigger map now that the Space Manta has a ground attack mode...
