Yeah, there is probably some Lovecraftian non-Euclidean geometry in that thing to make it that horrific and unsettling that a 3D printer just could not handle.

I can also imagine the printer suddenly having a massive overflow stream of filament right in the middle of the printing.
Such an event would, at least in my mind, trigger the question, "Is the printer trying to cover the ugliness, or did its sheer hideousness actually cause the printer to start throwing up..."

The show FACE OFF on SYFY said this was their last season. I wonder if they quit because Jean submitted the Fralli as challenge......

And now we know *WHY* Klingon's don't have ridged foreheads.
I have Fralli as part of the group of characters I use; but honestly Jean....the models need to be made with a burlap sack over their head. If we don't do that the Klingon's will loose all ground combat, and the Romulan ground forces will all be insane after CQB. Hold on, Romulans are insane. Disregard the previous.

Ok. Who was the joker who placed 2dimensional images of the Fralli pistol targets on the doors of the men's bathrooms facing the porcelain thrones?
The victims, when confronted by that image in such "close quarters" responded by "explosive discharge" of both #1 and #2 systems.
The room is temporarily closed pending cleaning. If I find out who did it....

True story: about six years ago, someone put photos of *a well known political figure I shall not name here* in the men's restroom as "targets". The commander was not amused. He actually called in OSI (the Air Force equivalent to CID/NCIS) to investigate. And yes, they figured out who it was, and he lost a stripe over it. I would have loved to read that legal paperwork.

Garth L. Getgen:
Given the time interval, it can be assumed who the "*a well known political figure I shall not name here*," was, and as far as it goes at that point, the "legal paperwork" would largely be uninteresting as it is a violation of the UCMJ for any member of the armed forces to be disrespectful to the holder of that office and some of the subordinate offices to that office. It has been so since the early 1860s (yes, 1860s, i.e., this particular item of the UCMJ dates to the Civil War).
In short, if sufficient evidence is forthcoming on who the individual in question was that did the act, it can easily go all the way to court martial. As late as the early 1970s the individual's career might have survived just losing a stripe, in today's military environment (from the late 1970s forward) I have little doubt that the individual essentially committed "career suicide." Taking a stripe just means "we are being kind to allow you time to figure out what you are going to do when you are discharged down the road instead of just discharging you right now."
You are not required to respect the individual holding the office, you ARE REQUIRED TO RESPECT THE OFFICE. One of those rights you give up when you take your oath of enlistment or commission, that is to say you do not retain your full "freedom of expression" when you enter the service.
Does not mean you cannot grumble in private, and you still get to vote as you see fit, but you cannot in any way "campaign" for or against an individual; the military is required to try to appear neutral when it comes to politics. There are enough people in civilian society who fear that the military will "stage a coup" (and some who hope the military will when they do not like who is in office) without active, reserve, or guard military members feeding that particular dark fantasy.

Just a thought- can we get the target...um...Fralli head as a rubberized head? I think someone has already made a suggestion that such could be used as a Halloween costume. Although, I think the trick-or-treeter was actually a Fralli in the post

Respectfully, Steve Cain, I can tell you from personal experience that the idea of a Fralli mask for Halloween is a VERY BAD idea; as horriffic as they appear, someone who can stomach putting one of those camera smashers on is in danger of being SHOT by the horrified public.
It very nearly happened to me a little over thirty years ago when, as a Halloween costume, I dressed up as an IRS auditor. People were horrified enough by something as mild (by comparison to how hideous Fralli are) as that were ready to shoot...

Jeff- Just imagine though....a ship where the away team is Fralli (except for the red shirts). The red shirts could beam down secure in the knowledge that they would live long enough to be beamed back up!
By Jeffrey George Anderson (Jeff) on Wednesday, May 01, 2019 - 05:18 pm: Edit |
Umm... How would the RedShirts keep their lunches down (or their sanity in place) long enough to be deployed planetside?
By Steve Zamboni (Szamboni) on Thursday, May 02, 2019 - 12:20 pm: Edit |
I first read that as the Fralli beaming down without their shirts...

Jeff- with time one becomes desensitized to horror...or so the "experts" say.
Steve Z- NO! There are not Fralli Chip & Dales. That alone would explain everyone attacking the Feds. Heck, that could explain the Andro invasion.
