Qari T64 not in this group?
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, September 03, 2019 - 05:25 pm: Edit |
Sorry, the Qaris got in too late as did several other ships.

Gives me time to get a FF and CL in for them so we have a fullish fleet. The Orion PFT also turned out to be a last-minute finisher.

What the heck happened to the Lyran DNW? It looks nothing like the renders now and I for one will not be buying it. I'm very disappointed, as it was to be a B-Day gift to myself
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 05:36 am: Edit |
Lyran DNW looks like the renders,to me.
By Chris Nasipak (Ecs05norway) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 11:31 am: Edit |
I was specifically requested to make the DNW look "less like a face" on the prow. What aspect of the changes are you objecting to?
By Tom Talasco (Pvt64) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 02:35 pm: Edit |
Is it just me or are the Omni scale Federation F-4 miniatures no longer in the Shapeways store?
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 02:46 pm: Edit |
Charles, are you looking at the one-piece ship or at the "kit" that requires assembly? If you were looking down by newest, you may have spotted the kit first.
By Charles Chapel (Ctchapel) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 03:15 pm: Edit |
I was, and am, looking at the LDR DNW render toggling between its page here and Shapeways. The center section is not the same. The nose is pinched in and the facets are vastly different.
By Mark Hutton (Trynda1701) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 03:33 pm: Edit |
Actually, I think that helps differentiate it a bit more.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 04:21 pm: Edit |
Tom, somehow it got taken off sale -- I suspect the "phantom" that was in the title triggered an IP review. I have renamed it as a Ground-Based Fighter. Still, it is triggering the IP review, so I have contacted someone at Shapeways to try to get it solved.

Tom, it should be up!

ADB Releases Ships in September 2019!
On September 3, 2019, ADB released a total of 43 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing it to over 1,700 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. We are also releasing some carrier groups as multiples on a sprue. We hope you find them more affordable.
The Federation gets its War Dreadnought and Old Survey Cruiser in both the "regular" (gridded) and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.
The Klingons gain their WD5 War Dreadnought. The WD5K Refitted War Dreadnought has the Aztecked designs on the wings.
The Tholians gain their Battleship Carrier and their original Battleship with no fighters or gunboats on the hull.
The Seltorians get their Light Carrier and Gunboat/PF Tender. They also get a Light Carrier Group (the Light Carrier and Escort Destroyer) and a Strike Carrier Group (a Strike Carrier, Light Escort Cruiser, and Escort Destroyer).
The Kzintis get their Medium Gunboat/PF Tender.
The Orions get their Heavy Battlecruiser.
The Hydrans get their Sioux Division Control Ship.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Cave Jaguar War Dreadnought both as a one-piece ship and as a kit that needs some assembly.
In the Omega Octant the Ymatrians get their Broadsword Strike Carrier and Double-Axe Command Cruiser along with a sprue of Dirk Fighters.

Thank you Jean!

Was ready to place my order the other day and noticed the Lyran War dreadnought disappeared. I now can't find it on the cart. Is it being reworked?
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Sunday, September 08, 2019 - 03:22 pm: Edit |
Nick, yes, it is. I have the files, but my time is going to ACTASF. Sorry.
By Chris Nasipak (Ecs05norway) on Sunday, September 08, 2019 - 06:39 pm: Edit |
My apologies to all for the mixup with the Lyran DNW.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Thursday, September 12, 2019 - 06:29 pm: Edit |
The Lyran DNW is back up on the cart. I'm sorry it took so long to get it back up, y'all.

Jean, what's the difference between the Refit version (Lyran DNW) and the non-refit version? I don't see the change.
EDIT: Never mind. I forgot the 3125 smooth-hulls are listed as LDR.

RELEASE DELAY
Jean has come down with a case of the plague and will take a few days off. We will delay the Shapeways release to Friday.
By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Monday, September 30, 2019 - 11:14 am: Edit |
The plague, eh?
I bet she doesn't want to go on the cart!
By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Monday, September 30, 2019 - 01:25 pm: Edit |
Ted Fay:
If Jean does not read this for a few days, you might have enough time to dig a hole deep enough to survive the impact. (GRIN).
By Steve Zamboni (Szamboni) on Monday, September 30, 2019 - 01:51 pm: Edit |
On the flip side, the deeper the hole, the faster the cart will be moving after she pushes it in after him.
