Looking at the "7000 Scale Klingon Fleet Core Collection WEM", and the "7000 Scale Klingon Fleet Builder Collection WEM", I think there might be two D7's in the "Core" collection, I was looking at the D5 in the "Builder" collection, and trying to see which of the two unknown (to me) cruisers might match the profile, and they both seem different, then I compared some screenshots of the two unknown cruisers with each-other and they seem exactly the same, at least to me.

John, that has been fixed. Thanks for spotting it.

ADB Releases Ships for December, 2019
On December 1, 2019, ADB released a total of 88 new items to its shop on Shapeways. That brings our shop to over 1,900 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. We also added more ships in the new, larger scale that we named the 2500 Scale (Prestige Scale) which is 1/2500. These larger ships are perfect for one-on-one tabletop duels. They can always be used as a display model when not being used for battles. Notably we added the North Polar Fleet that matches the ship cards in our free Federation Commander North Polar epack and the ship rosters for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet (again, this is a free epack).
The Klingons gain their 7000 Scale Core Collection (C8 dreadnought, C7 heavy battlecruiser, D7 battlecruiser, D5 war cruiser, F5W destroyer, F5 frigate). They also get their 2500 Scale D7K Refitted Battlecruiser. In the 3788 and 3125 scales, they get their D6P Gunboat/PF Tender.
The Romulans get their Augmented Base Station, Battle Station, and Augmented Battle Station.
The Tholians gain their Heavy War Destroyer (PF Tender). This is a heavy war destroyer set up to carry gunboats. They also get the 7000 Scale Neo-Tholian Fleet 312th Builder Collection. This collection is designed to combine with the Builder and Core collections to provide a complete version of the 312th Battle Squadron.
The Kzintis have their Heavy Carrier, Space Control Ship, and Super Space Control Ship.
The Orions make out like bandits with their Battle Station, Augmented Battle Station, Light Raider Scout, Patrol Carrier, and War Destroyer Scout. They also get a sprue of two Battle Raiders and another sprue with two Light Cruisers.
The Lyrans get an iconic 2500 Scale Tiger Heavy Cruiser.
The Hydrans get sprues of their destroyers in an effort to cut costs to the buyer. There is a sprue of two Knight Destroyers, another of two Lancer Destroyers, and a final sprue with one each of the Knight and Lancer.
The ISC gains its 7000 Scale Fleet Core Collection (Dreadnought, Star Cruiser, Light Cruiser, Destroyer, and two Frigates) and its Fleet Builder Collection (two each of its Light Cruisers, Destroyers, and Frigates).
The Jindarians get another of their metal ships, the Frigate either singly or on a sprue of two.
The Vudar get their 7000 Scale Fleet Core Collection (Dreadnought, Heavy Battlecruiser, Heavy Cruiser, War Cruiser, War Destroyer, and War Frigate) and their Fleet Builder Collection (two War Cruisers, two War Destroyers, and two War Frigates). They also get their Heavy Battlecruiser and Heavy Cruiser in both 3788 and 3125 scales.
The WYN get their Auxiliary Cruiser built on a Kzinti hull, Orca-V Light Carrier, and Grey Shark Dreadnought. The dreadnought is also available as a kit that needs some assembly.
More types of general ships were also released. Armed freighters were released for small, large, jumbo and heavy armed freighters. Large and small Q-ships were also released. These are shown in two styles: Revealed when the panels have just pulled back and Deployed when the weapons have been moved into place.
The big release was for the North Polar Fleet. These have been described in ship cards for Federation Commander each Christmas since 2013, although the Sleigh appeared in 2006. They have been released in stats for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet. Plans are to release them for Star Fleet Battles as SSDs and we hope to see them soon as ship cards for Starmada. The ships, released in both 3788 and 3125 scales except as noted, include the Battle Station (Omni Scale only), Candy Cane Light Cruiser, Candy Sprite Destroyer, Candy Stick Missile DD, Candy Stripe Scout, Commando Cruiser, Gingerbread Attack Cruiser, Sleigh Medium Cruiser (3125, 3788, and 7000 scales), Snow Command Cruiser, Star Strike Cruiser, and Tree Heavy Cruiser.
Finally, given the popularity of the 7000 Scale ships and requests from players, we have released covers for the bases of these miniatures. One of the sizes expands the half-inch, hex-shaped bases to one-inch, hex-shaped bases, and this is available with either 18 or 24 covers. The other is designed for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet players and turns the half-inch, hex-shaped bases to two-centimeter, round bases. This facilitates using the 7000 Scale miniatures by changing the inch measurements to centimeter; one inch equals one centimeter.

ADB Releases Ships for January, 2020
On January 6, 2020, ADB released a total of 39 new items to its shop on Shapeways with over 1,900 items in total available. Notably we began to add the Peladine Empire that our fans have been requesting for years. Please note that all ships are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales unless specifically noted. Then they are only available in the scale noted.
The Federation starts with one of the best deals for Federation ships that we have offered to date. The 3788 Scale Frigate Collection with Corvettes has six ships (a Battle Frigate, Scout Frigate, two Burke-class Frigates, and two Corvettes). The new Omni Scale "General" Monitor is based upon the Federation Monitor.
The Klingons gain their B10 Battleship in the 7000 Scale. This is the start of the new 7000 single releases of the larger ships, such as the battleships.
The Romulans get ships at both ends of the scale. The iconic War Eagle with an etched belly bird is in the 2500 "Prestige" Scale; the King Condor Battleship is now available in the 7000 Scale.
The Gorns have their Medium Dreadnought in both the regular and refitted versions. They also get their 7000 Scale Fleet Builder Collection (medium cruiser, two heavy destroyers, two battle destroyers, and a destroyer) and 7000 Scale Fleet Core Collection (dreadnought, heavy battlecruiser, battlecruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate) in two versions, as regular and refitted ships.
The Tholians gain their Patrol Corvette and the Neo-Tholian Light Cruiser in the 2500 "Prestige" Scale.
The Kzintis have their Battle Station and Augmented Battle Station. These Omni Scale battle stations are done to reflect the style of the Kzinti designers. In the 7000 Scale, they also get their Battleship (as a single) and another sprue of two ships (War Destroyer and Frigate).
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic gain several variations of the Panther Light Cruiser. There is the Light Escort Cruiser, Light Scout Cruiser, and Light Carrier. Note that LDR ships are only in the 3125 Scale. The Lyrans also get the same ships in a "refitted" version with aztecking in the 3788 Scale.
The Hydrans get the Lord Marshal Command Cruiser and Templar Early Dreadnought in the 3788 Scale and 3125 Scale; the Lord Marshal is also available in the 2500 "Prestige" Scale.
The ISC gains its Battleship as a single ship in the 7000 Scale.
Finally, the Peladine Empire, which is one of the "also rans" in the history of the Alpha Quadrant, gets its Heavy Cruiser as the first of the ships for that empire.

Are there new ships going to be posted for February
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 04:45 am: Edit |
We will be releasing ships but most of what we are doing now are kinds of ships that do no need to be posted.
By Ginger McMurray (Gingermcmurray) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 08:31 am: Edit |
Will the 3-D models themselves ever be up for purchase? I don't actually own a 3-D printer but that would go a long way towards making me want one. I plan on getting one so I can make my own RPG minis, but it would go higher on my list if I could start churning out various ships for SFB, too.
By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 08:57 am: Edit |
Ginger, Jean and SVC have answered that already: No, the files will never be for sale / download. Part of the reason is if ADB let you buy the file, you could print hundreds of ships and never pay them a dime ever again. ADB would be forced to fold up shop.
Garth L. Getgen
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 09:48 am: Edit |
The files will NEVER be sold.
The licensing deal with Paramount will not allow that. All manufacturing must be done by licensed companies.
Shapeways produces something around 10% of company revenue. Losing that would hardly force us to shut down but it would hurt.
By Ginger McMurray (Gingermcmurray) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 10:35 am: Edit |
Thanks! Sad, but completely understandable. :-)
By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Monday, January 27, 2020 - 04:36 pm: Edit |
SVC: I meant you'd fold up the Shapeways shop, not close ADB down completely, although ticking off Paramount bad enough could lead to that.

Garth: Whatever you meant, I had to deal with what others read it to mean.
By John Williams (Johndw) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 07:14 am: Edit |
Just a thought on categorization. I know adding more categories to sort items in the shapeways store could probably get bogged down with a lot of granularity, but I'm sure we all know that shapeways itself isn't all that user friendly with sorting items.
So I wonder, there are over 200 items in the omni-scale section, but there are items in that which are already sorted in their own category "general" "space dragon" "monster" "juggernaut". It would be nice if there could be added a "starbase/battlestation" category and a category for shuttlecraft/fighters/bombers/etc, the "support craft" or whatever word might be appropriate to describe them all.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 09:58 am: Edit |
Right now, things fit into two categories -- empire and scale. Adding "space stations" would mean three categories -- scale, empire, and space station. "Attrition units" would do the same. And then I'll have folks asking for cruisers or battleships or a zillion other ship types. That would make a huge list on the left.
However, once you have done a search for something you know exists, such as "omni scale Klingon battlestation," and you find ours, scroll to the bottom and you will find keywords. Click on battlestation and you should find all of ours.
By Aaron Staley (Awwwdrat) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 11:20 am: Edit |
With respect Jean, he is correct to certain point. I have had to spend hours searching for ships I want. All because of refits and scale differences. I have even accidentally spent money on stuff I ordered but then discovered I accidentally ordered a Federation Classic ship instead of the one with full detail. Perhaps I should spend another 22 bucks on a Fed BCV? One thats not classic? Bet y'all would love that.
If you would really like to make an improvement, here it is. Make a filter for 3788, 2500, Omni, and whatever else scale. Add the official designation to the title of the ship [i.e. (NCL)].
By Steven Zamboni (Szamboni) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 12:44 pm: Edit |
Due to Jean's consistent naming conventions, I find it easier to use Shapeways' main search function rather than wade through the store filters.
"3788 Scale Kzinti" or "Omni Scale Klingon" will take you directly to the empire and scale. (Watch for "Federation" and "Fed Classic", though.)
The sculptor initials can also be used as a filter, especially to cut through non-ADB results: "Kzinti SRZ" or "BCV WEM". (Also "CVN" and "MGL".)
By Aaron Staley (Awwwdrat) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 12:50 pm: Edit |
Unless i read this board (which i dont) how am i supposed to know sculpters initials? Further, shapeways search includes other miniatures not from adb. It is NOT SUFFICIENT. Please allow me to object and wait for response from official personel.
By Aaron Staley (Awwwdrat) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 12:55 pm: Edit |
"Due to Jean's consistent naming conventions, I find it easier to use Shapeways' main search function rather than wade through the store filters"
Which is why i accidentally bought a Fed SC and a Fed BCV classic on accident. Perhaps you would like to send me the correct minis in your own dime? They make money on mistakes like these.
By Steven Zamboni (Szamboni) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 02:40 pm: Edit |
I do replace minis on my own dime, if I was the one that made the mistake. (In this case, however, I'm off the hook, so I leave you to your objections.)
By Matthew Lawson (Mglawson) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 03:06 pm: Edit |
Most of the issue with searching on Shapeways is on Shapeways' end itself. There is no way to search within a category. You can click the 3788 link and display all those, but there isn't a way to then narrow those results down to a specific Empire, and further narrow those results to a specific class. Even within a category such as the 3788 line, you can't even sort those results as it will reset and go back to the entire store itself.
Things unrelated to ADB minis will always come up. My personal store has items that are the only one on Shapeways and if I search that exact name, a dozen extra items will still show up in the results.
As for the wrong item or size, I've done that several times, a couple were models I made as well; sometimes you just have to really double check your order by description and the 3D render.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 03:22 pm: Edit |
I wish we could set up filters on Shapeways, but we cannot. That is the downside to using any company's store be it Warehouse 23, Wargame Vault, or Shapeways. Our things have to fit within their rules.
Shapeways doesn't help things since its search engine "ors" the words together. "3125 Scale Federation Heavy Cruiser" even with the quotation marks gets any item that has 3125 or Scale or Federation or Heavy or Cruiser in the title, tags, or description. Ours usually floats to the top in relevance as it has all of those words.
I always hate it when someone gets the wrong ship, be it the wrong scale or the wrong style. I wish I could do something different. But I have 40 categories (counting those with two styles and that I know have more than one scale) and if I were to start dividing them by scales (3788 Federation, 3125 Federation, Omni Federation, 3788 Fed Classic, 3125 Fed Classic, Omni Fed Classic, etc.) then I am looking at 120+ categories. That is far too many to easily browse down the side -- and I cannot class the categories so that you click on 3125 and it breaks down into empires or you click on the empire and it breaks into scales. Lord knows, I wish I could. It offends my cataloger's heart.
By Aaron Staley (Awwwdrat) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 03:33 pm: Edit |
Understood. Perhaps a request could be made to them for better or more thorough results filtering.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 - 03:47 pm: Edit |
Aaron, almost all the shops have asked for that. And we've asked for sorting within categories so that you could sort in alphabetical order within the Federation and get to the right scale and ship. I've requested that personally from one of their vice presidents.
What I have gotten back is "The Sound of Silence."
I am a less-than-happy camper.
