Report mistakes and omissions in the register. Every tenth report gets you a RESEARCH honor bar on the wall of honor. Find 100 different and unique line items and earn a medal. A few rules:
1. All reports must be in this topic.
2. I must be able to understand your report. Clarity helps.
3. Only the first person to report a mistake gets the point.
4. Typos count 1/2.
5. Pattern problems (such as the minor detail that none of the generic minis are listed yet) count as one report not 100 so just list the general problem not every single identical line item.
6. Base all reports on posted copies of the 2020 update.

There are going to be some Klingon and Lyran 7000s which the register says exist and you never heard of. Do not report these until you check the 1 Nov release because there are new sprues I know about and you do not.

I am not listing some items:
Tanks and ground vehicles and people
Kits and special extra sprues
webs, stands, Christmas ornaments

I have begun using a dagger mark to indicate a less than perfect substitute. Until we get a CCX done I marked "Use CA-Dagger".

If I note Aztek/variants at all it is in a single comment line at the top of the empire. I am not going to list every Lyran, Gorn, Klingon, and Fed ship twice.

Report format

Empire
Ship type as listed in the chart
what you think is wrong or missing
why you think it's wrong.
You do not have to list your name each time. It's in the message header.

Gary Carney's excellent report (so far):

LMC - Jumokian Commando Light Cruiser: In SFB, Jumokian ships are able to mix and match their equipped Pinnace packs to suit the task at hand. Thus the "commando light cruiser" is a standard Jumokian light cruiser [(MR6.4) in Module C5] on which one of its Self-Defence Pinnace Packs (MR1.6) has been replaced with a Commando Pack (MR1.5). As with Romulan SparrowHawks or Iridani Quest ships, my premise with the Jumokians in the FC LMC project is that any required combination of Pinnace packs would be provided as its own playtest Ship Card.

Omega - Federal Republic Armored Cruiser: This ship is noted as being able to use the Fed OCA as a stand-in at 1:3788 scale. It may also use the Shapeways OCA miniature as a stand-in at 1:3125 scale.

Omega - Federal Republic Klingon D6: This ship is listed as "Use D7" in 1:3788 scale; this could be changed to "Use D6", as is the case at 1:3125 scale.

Omega - Federal Republic Klingon F5L: There is a dedicated F5L miniature on Shapeways (in both "-B" and "K" variants, at both 1:3788 and 1:3125 scales) which players may use for this ship.

Omega - Hiver Barb-2: This size-1 fighter [(OR10.F2) in SFB Module Omega #2] is available in Omni Scale on Shapeways.

Omega - Hiver Barb-H: This size-2 fighter [(OR10.F4) in SFB Module Omega #2] is available in Omni Scale on Shapeways.

Omega - Iridani Barque: the miniature for this ship is marked on Shapeways as the "Barque-B", but may be used for this ship also.

Omega - Iridani Barque-B: This "Bonnaventure" variant, which is in SFB as (OR14.6B) in Captain's Log #24 (and which is also available on the ADB website), is available on Shapeways in 1:3788 and 1:3125 scale.

Omega - Iridani Galleon-B: This "Bonnaventure" variant is noted as being in the FC Omega Playtest Rulebook; however, the playtest Ship Card in that file is for the "standard" Galleon, as noted below.

Omega - Iridani Galleon: The Shapeways miniature listed as the Galleon-B may also be used for this ship, which is in SFB as (OR14.2) in Module Omega #3 and in the FC Omega Playtest Rulebook.

Omega - Iridani Yawl: The Shapeways miniature listed as the Yawl-B may also be used for this ship, which is in SFB as (OR14.4) in Module Omega #3.

Omega - Paravian antiproton heavy cruiser: This ship [(OR24.A1) in Captain's Log #54] can use the standard Paravian heavy cruiser (available in 1:3788, 1:3125, and 1:7000 scales on Shapeways) as a stand-in for this variant. I would suggest listing this ship under the "Omega" heading, rather than the "Paravian" one, to denote its exclusive service in the Omega Octant.

Omega - Paravian antiproton war cruiser: This ship [(OR24.A2) in Captain's Log #54] can use the standard Paravian war cruiser (available in 1:3788, 1:3125, and 1:7000 scales on Shapeways) as a stand-in for this variant. I would suggest listing this ship under the "Omega" heading, rather than the "Paravian" one, to denote its exclusive service in the Omega Octant.

Omega - Paravian antiproton war destroyer: This ship [(OR24.A3) in Captain's Log #54] can use the standard Paravian war destroyer (available in 1:3788, 1:3125, and 1:7000 scales on Shapeways) as a stand-in for this variant. I would suggest listing this ship under the "Omega" heading, rather than the "Paravian" one, to denote its exclusive service in the Omega Octant.

Omega - Paravian antiproton frigate: This ship [(OR24.A4) in Captain's Log #54] can use the standard Paravian frigate (available in 1:3788, 1:3125, and 1:7000 scales on Shapeways) as a stand-in for this variant. I would suggest listing this ship under the "Omega" heading, rather than the "Paravian" one, to denote its exclusive service in the Omega Octant.

Seltorian Light Battleship: The SFB and FC entries currently listed for this ship are the ones for the Seltorian light dreadnought. (The DNL is a "medium" hull with three "medium" booms; the BBL is a conjectural "large" hull with three "large" booms.) So far as I'm aware, this unit has yet to be made available in SSD form. It is currently available as a "low toner" Ship Card in Communiquè #78.

Borak
DN/DNW
DNW is missing.
There are 2 Borak dreadnoughts. The DN (which is in the register) has superposed turrets with 3x Ph-Ms. The DNW (which is not in the register) has the turrets mounted abreast with 4x Ph-Ms.

By Chris Nasipak (Ecs05norway) on Sunday, November 22, 2020 - 01:52 am: Edit

There are a large number of Borak ships not entered, so far the only ones in are the ones that have been sculpted.

Hydran: Templar DNE is in Shapeways. Iron Chancellor is not listed.

Lyran: Early BC and Early DN are in Shapeways.

As I have said, the list pretty much only covers ships with minis or FC cards because if we listed every ship it would be 400 pages long and not terribly useful. Some ships are listed which don't have minis or FC cards for various special reasons (maybe we want a mini to be done, or maybe that ship was in a batch of ships that were being added to the list) and those exceptions do not mean we need to add every ship with an SFB rule number.

So I presume "Iron Chancellor not listed." means it does not have a mini or FC card (and thus does not need to be in the Register until one of those things happens. If that is not what you meant, Chris, be more specific. Lots of Hydran ships have SFB rule numbers but are not listed.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Sunday, November 22, 2020 - 08:23 am: Edit

Ah, one other thing. Most "escorts" have two numbers, one for limited aegis and one for full aegis. I only listed one number and that is enough for the purpose. No point in crowding the cell with information that isn't needed. It's all about the information you need, not a total compilation of all of the information that there is.

You don't seem to know us very well, Steve. We absolutely *NEED* all the information that there is. :)
