We don't normally ID all the various alphabet designators. There are some things one is expected to know when playing the game. Besides, there is something usually in the notes section to help give you an idea of what the unit does.

Unless I'm reading ADB wrong, I don't think HDWs can be converted to HWXs in much the same way that war cruisers cannot be converted into x-versions of CWs. From my understanding, "war hulls" (DWs, CWs, and assuming HDWs), were not good candidates for X-tech CONVERSIONS as their hulls were not designed for long term service.
