Gorn BSX: Notes state "Module Limits: 2FTM or one FTM + 1PFM. This suggests that this Gorn base only has two modules, which is incorrect. Should read "Module Limits: 2FTM + 1PFM". Or, refer rule 441.4. Graham Wardle 14.7.08.

Maybe this should be in the Why Topic for F&E.
Why does the Gorn DDT (Theater Transport) have a YIS date of Y175 when everyone else, who has a Theater Transport, has a YIS date of Y140 or Y150?
By Robert Padilla (Zargan) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 10:21 am: Edit |
The Romulan Theatre Transports have a YIS date of 170 for the SKH and the SHH is 175 also. They don't have any others that I see.
By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 10:49 am: Edit |
Rob, they also have the Freight Eagle (FE) with a YIS of 164.
By David Porter (Davidp) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 01:11 pm: Edit |
In G2 the DDT has a YIS Date of 129 (page 50).

SVC, A very gentle and not at the top of the list question.
Will new MSIT's for each empire be done with the publication of the next new F&E product after 2010?
I know that 2010 is the priority now and well it should be.

Why is the Hydran CR factors 5/2 when everyone else's equivalent frigate 5/3, e.g Federation FF factors 5/3?
By Michael Parker (Protagoras07) on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - 10:33 am: Edit |
For the same reason the HN is 3-4/2 when other small FF's are 4/2. Cuz Hydrans are weird.. and they smell funny too!
By Clell Flint (Clell) on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - 12:35 pm: Edit |
The Heavy weapons Hydrans use are to blame.
The HN uses Fusion beams which are very short ranged. The CR uses the Hellbore (IIRC) which is designed to hit the weakest sheild. Once you cripple both of them though they are pretty much like any other crippled FF, mostly useless.

I like Mike Parker's explanation better, especially the part about smelling funny!

Will the SIT get one last scrub before F&E2010 to make sure that all 2010 information is correct?

Not a good place to ask that. It won't even be seen before 2010 is done.

Hi:
Where can I find the latest SIT's files? I downloaded the ones from the folder above 2008+. Are these the latest ones?
Thanks
John
By Mike Curtis (Nashvillen) on Thursday, March 25, 2010 - 02:50 pm: Edit |
The latest ones, other than the ones in F&E2010, should be dated somewhere around July 18th, 2008, I believe.

Two HD questions...
Gorn CVD: Should these really be an 8 Defense factor? Not sure if there were some doctrine issue that made these a higher defense. It is base hull of course is the HD a 7/4 ship. - L. Bergen 29 March 2010

The Gorn CVD and HDV both have a rear bubble over the HDD. They are a bit odd in that have added hull but not bigger engines. The 8 factor is right if you look at the ships.
