Okay thanks for the info on the Gorn CVD and HDV. There was not a note to justify the higher number and I didn't have the SFB SSDs to look at...the CVD in particular I thought might have gotten accidentally dropped into the wrong grouping (instead of the CL...where an 8 factor and the designator would have made sense).

Gorn HDM or MDH: Suggest deleting one of these as they are the same ship scheduled for NO product release. Note the line item for MDH has stats listed and may have appeared with other conjectural maulers in CLog. - L. Bergen 4 April 2010

lAWERANCE according to my memory (the books ar at home) an HDM IS A MS and the MHD is the conjectural mauler

Gorn HDM: Suggest deleting the entry. The SFB refrence and Notes are the same as the Gorn MDH. Thomas Mathews 4 April 2010 The Factors are missing from the HDM but are included in the MDH.

Thomas:

ONLY the B10/B10A are single ship carriers.

The B10V/B10VA/B10S/B10SA are classed as "Heavy Carriers" or "Space Control Ships" in the SIT notes section and each require full escort packages.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Sunday, April 04, 2010 - 01:34 pm: Edit

I see. I misread (312.265) thinking it said that the SFG ship could not be escorted. Instead of the fact that it could be attacked as an individual ship.

I did miss two conversion possibilities, 1 for each unit.

Gorn DNE is available Y166 according to the SIT, but scenario 698 (The War that Almost Was) has a couple in their home fleet at Y157.

Copied from the Q&A thread where I originally asked:

Q: (436.0), (312.323), and (525.1) Can a B9 carry one or two SFGs?

The answer is 2, and is found in CL32 Q&A.

I like the F&E Compendium. Makes things a lot easier for me to find mostly.

Where are the R1 SITs?

By Ryan Opel (Ryan) on Thursday, April 22, 2010 - 04:13 am: Edit

The R1 information is incorporated into each races SITS.

Each empire's SIT.

The only 'race' that responds to "SIT!" is the Carnivons. :)

Thanks all. Sorry I was a bit brief last night I was trying to do too many things at once.

By James Wood (Jwood314) on Friday, April 30, 2010 - 05:58 pm: Edit

I am confused, where do I get the most recent SITs?

Thanks ahead of time.

James

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Friday, April 30, 2010 - 06:03 pm: Edit

James, in the 2008 SITs there is one each major empire except the ISC.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, April 30, 2010 - 07:00 pm: Edit

The most recent SITs are on the BBS in the folder for them.

By Lawrence Bergen (Lar) on Saturday, May 01, 2010 - 12:28 pm: Edit

James at some point the SITs will get an update. ADB has been busy with other things and will eventually get to the SITs which received more of a format change (SVC called it the Strong Format) than real update the last go around (2008). Everyone loved the format change.

One thing you can be sure of is that when they get to it, the job will be thorough and essentially an up-to-the-minute update (read latst post) at that point. The Staff works very hard on such detailed things and with the addition of Thomas Matthews to the already superb staff the update should go smoothly. The SITS are big and only SVC knows when he will start them.

One note is that the basic SITs that accompanied F&E 2010 basic set were checked for accuracy when that product came out.

By James Wood (Jwood314) on Sunday, May 02, 2010 - 05:42 pm: Edit

I wasn't complaining, just confused and wanted verification on which SITs sets to use. Say SITs sets 10 time really fast.

Cheers,
James

Federation MPAL (F111) Factors 0(9H) Thomas Mathews 13 May 2010. Current factors read 9H0 which is not consistent with other Monitor Pallets and Tug Pods of similar function.

Federation MPAL (F111) Cost 5+9 Thomas Mathews 13 May 2010. Fighter Cost for Monitor pallet is not consistant with the the MPAL (V) and MPAL (SCS) for the Federation. Fighters are paid at the base rate, see (519.421).

By Robert Padilla (Zargan) on Friday, July 02, 2010 - 12:29 pm: Edit

By the SITs (all racial SITs), APTs have a salvage value of 0.2 EP, but PTRs have a salvage value of 0. Shouldn't the PTR generate salvage if the APT does? It's basically just a beefed up version of an APT, so I would think it's salvage value should be 0.4 EP.

By Peter D Bakija (Bakija) on Monday, July 05, 2010 - 09:03 pm: Edit

The F+E 2K10 rulebbok general unit SIT has PDUs listed as paying 1 point per fighter factor instead of .5 per fighter factor (i.e. a PDU is listed as costing 4+6 instead of the 4+3 it used to cost).

This is just a misprint, correct? And PDUs still cost 4+3 (or whatever, depending on how the PDU is being built)?

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Monday, July 05, 2010 - 10:32 pm: Edit

Peter, which page of the 2010 SITs are you looking at? If you are looking at the PDU listed on the Federation page, page 157, Rev 0, (This is first printing of the 2010 Rule book), then you are seeing the cost of a late war Federation PDU with double the number of fighters, i.e. 12 instead of 6. This is not incorrect, but added as a convenience to players playing the base 2010 game only. Note the YIS date for this PDU is Y181.

By Peter D Bakija (Bakija) on Tuesday, July 06, 2010 - 09:43 am: Edit

Yes, issue resolved. I foolishly was assuming that the first SIT on pg 159 was the general unit SIT and didn't notice that it was the Fed SIT. Never mind.
