Yes, I have finished the box with regards to the new 4PW scenario (and sent it to Richard with hopes to begin a test game). Of course my schedule was changed at work (sending me out to remote offices last week and this) and as such delayed the game from starting for at least another week (Sorry Richard).
I have indeed begun reviewing the Hurricane (two weeks ago) and can say that so far things look good. Turtle has discovered some minor items with the set-up capabilities and these have been corrected. Tempest was sent to Ryan and Turtle continues with Gale Force.

NOTICE ON GALE FORCE:
This scenario will not be posted until after Fighter Operations has completed being updated to the 2010 Standard. However, it will be ready to go at that time.

Well yeah...no one would be able to play it without the updated scenario notes.
The 4PW draft on the other hand...

Does that mean we have to wait for the FO update before we'll see a new Cyberboard update?
By Lawrence Bergen (Lar) on Sunday, November 10, 2013 - 05:18 pm: Edit
No. But I wanted to double check the box because the test release I did of the scenarios were missing set-up items. Probably due to several small last minute changes in the gamebox.
Turtle is working through the set-up for Gale Force (a HUGE scenario) to make sure the box has what it needs. Once he says it is good and we have finished checking the others the new stuff will be sent over to ADB (Simone).
My plan is this will all happen before the next CLOG is printed.

You know what marker would be useful in the combat section?
Something that is for ad-hoc escorts.
By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Sunday, November 17, 2013 - 09:29 am: Edit
Pete just use the text box to add a note that a given ship is an ad-hoc escort and for what unit it is escorting.

Yeah, I already know I can do that. I'm asking for a marker that says "ad-hoc".

I'm setting up the Hurricane scenario. It's a lot of work but I'm halfway done.
I was wondering if there is anything that we use to show the lines of demarcation between the various sectors? I looked and I didn't really see anything I could use.
Is there something like that already in the gamebox, and if not, think we can get something like that?
By Rob Padilla (Zargan) on Saturday, November 23, 2013 - 09:28 am: Edit
You could use territory markers for that purpose. Just put them in the border hexes.
By Rob Padilla (Zargan) on Saturday, November 23, 2013 - 10:17 am: Edit
Pete there should also be hex markers so you can "draw" your own. Just use a color that stands out.

Pete, Lar, already has a copy of the updated Hurricane scenario. I gave it to him to review. I had to do that to start the work on the Gale Force update.

This topic is reopened. I suspect that someone posted a link to the topic on FB or on another forum. Those links will no longer work.

I just noticed (well it was brought to my attention and I tested it) that the links to the CB and associated scenarios are broken. I am not sure if this is related to the revisions made to the topic URLs behind the scenes. (Score +1 for the Spambots).
If the links cannot be restored easily there will be a short window of time where the F&E community will have to wait until I can wrap up the box and scenarios I have on my to-do list.
The pressure is on me...
Turtle IM me when you see me on or drop me an email maybe we can work on these together to wrap them up faster.
Sorry for the delay my friends.

The move shouldn't have killed those links -- they are just URLs. All I did was move existing topics into a new top-level thread.
Let's see if Simone can find those old documents.

Request for help!
So, yesterday I slid my "tray A" really fast and mis-judged what I was doing. Tray A has disappeared. When I toggle the "show/hide piece tray A" button, nothing happens. So, Tray A disappeared and can't be revealed.
After attempting in vain to look for it somewhere, anywhere, on the screen or on the program I deleted Cyberboard from the computer (it appears that it never installs and so cannot be uninstalled). I then re-downloaded it. Tray A is still missing. This problem persists across games and even in new games.
Has anyone run into this problem or knows of a way to somehow find a missing tray?
By Mike Curtis (Nashvillen) on Friday, December 13, 2013 - 11:13 am: Edit
It is stuck on the side of your screen. Look for it there. I had something like this happen to me one time and it was many hours of frustration and research before I found it as a thin line on one side of the screen.
I am more careful with my moving of trays, now...
Feel your pain, brother!

Mike, I'll look. I can't see it though. Hmmm. Maybe if I change the screen resolution of the monitor I'll be able to find it. Thanks for the tip!
By Michael Tisdel (Jtisdel) on Friday, December 13, 2013 - 05:13 pm: Edit
Do you have a second monitor you could hook up? Doing so should reveal where it landed. The Windows virtual monitor space sometimes doesn't align with the geometry of the terminal.
By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Saturday, December 14, 2013 - 01:13 am: Edit
Yeah, it happened with two monitors. I haven't had a chance yet, but I'll try changing screen resolutions and see if I can find it that way.
By Rob Padilla (Zargan) on Saturday, December 14, 2013 - 06:50 pm: Edit
Well if you maximize it on the screen it should just fill one monitor, so that should "fix" any dual monitor issue.
By Lawrence Bergen (Lar) on Sunday, December 15, 2013 - 12:54 am: Edit
Ted I posted in the tip & tricks section what to do if you can find a portion of the tray.
It was from a discussion in the thread from Sept 2012...Nick also had a suggestion about resetting the trays to default that didn't work for some folks.
