The SITs still show carrier group counters because published counters are still in the hands of the players.

The general units are now in each empire's SIT.

The reduction of carrier escort surcharges was rejected after it was shown that the 1EP cost was proper and correct given that most escorts gain 1 or 2 AF and one DF over an ad hoc.

Let me be clear.

1. NO ONE but me is authorized to issue errata, rulings, or changes to the SIT.

2. NO ONE is authorized to create and post their own SIT, not even for a private campaign.

3. Unless they were printed in Captains Log or added to a SIT that I posted there are no changes to the current SIT.

A note about SIT updates. Actually, several.

1. Please hold tedious piddly little stuff for a future time so we can focus on the REAL items. I only have so many minutes per week. Do you want me changing every reference to "they didn't really build this" into "unbuilt variant" or do you want actual game data fixed?

2. Try to avoid posting more than five items per post and try to make all items in a post the same sort of thing.

3. Pay attention to the designer topic. I seriously need to never see another report about the number of zeros in the salvage column.

FEDS RULING
Unless overruled by ADB, rule (524.112) is correct in that CPFs cost 3 EPs.

(524.112) is the original text from AO. The error on the SITS was propagated from when the incorrect CPF data was on the old General SITs and then copied and moved to each individual empire SIT.

ADD "R1."
DO NOT report such items. I will do them without needing reports. If you see a SIT where I did all but one or two you can report THOSE but if you see a lot of R1 items then just ignore it and wait for the spirit of R1 to move me to do them.

Klingon D5W variants have an "(NCA)" in their line items. It's there because I want it to be there. Do not report "remove (NCA) as it just wastes my time to find real reports.

Post your line items here, do not email them to me. Unless I do the email RIGHT NOW it will get lost, and RIGHTNOW is never the time I get to work on SITs. Also, anything other than an obvious typo has to be staff-vetted so emailing me is really a waste of time and the staf f thinks you're trying to sneak something past them.

Base conversion costs are missing in some cases and wrong in most cases. Sooner or later Chuck Strong will send me new data based on the CL50 ruling for conversions from one published counter to another and I'll insert it. Until then, DO NOT report missing or outdated base conversion data. This is Chuck's balliwick and Chuck is a jealous FEDS.

JAH: The LVH is listed twice (with different costs) in the Conversion Cost column. F Brooks, 20 July, 2017. NEED STAFF ENDORSEMENT

Sometime when I feel better, perhaps by year's end, I am going to work on these SIT files.

Whenever that happens, I really expect to find staff reports on all pink missing data cells.

I will note that I posted that almost two years ago and the staff hasn't posted any pink cell items.
TWO DAYS LATER AND NO STAFF DATA ON PINK UNKNOWN ITEMS. STAFF NEEDS TO JUMP ON THE PINK BLOCK MISSING DATA IMMEDIATELY AFTER ANY SIT UPDATE IS POSTED.

This kind of line item
Page 18 JVH "From LYH 3+2" should be "From LYH: 3+2"
is very difficult to process. I have to read both halfs several times to figure out you mean to add the missing colon (which isn't a high priority item but heck).

Some guidelines for faster SIT updates:

1. No more than five line items per post. That way, I can bite and chew small pieces when I have odd moments.

2. Do not refer to page numbers. These mean nothing to my screen and are useless information.

3. It would actually work better if the line items were in the order they are found in the document. So list the heavy cruiser, then the war cruiser, then the frigate, then then auxiliaries, then the bases.

4. Please put trivial picky stuff like changing "(1/year) 6" to "6 (1/year)" and "change comma to semicolon" and "remove extraneous colon" in completely separate messages. That way I can ignore them and get the actual updates out faster. I will catch up that stuff when I get time.

5. Avoid quoting long strings of text then quoting it a second time changing one character. It gets very tedious for me to try to read the line item six times and finally figure out what you're wanting fixed. If a word is mis-spelled, just say "HDWP Notes: Mis-spelled conjectural". It's faster.

It will never be over. There will always be something to add or something to fix.

Jean calls fixes "Boulders, Rocks, Pebbles, Sand, Dust." Big mistakes hide little ones that are in plain sight but hidden in the glaring error.

Sometimes I tease her with "Stars, Planets, Moons, Asteroids, Mountains, Boulders, Rocks, Stones, Pebbles, Sand, Dust, Microbes."

I think we're mostly into the sand with a lot of dust. Seriously, EW=2 and (2EW) are functionally identical and neither is wrong, but there is a philosophy that if you use the same format you get fewer questions. (Mostly you get questions about why is the format different.)
