Movement is done!

In Hydran space, only one fight--a giant Coalition fleet that is probably just going to kill a CU in 0118, unless the reserves show up. We are hoping the reserves show up :-)

In Kzinti space, the Coalition have pinned all the ships on SB 1704, sent a significant force to planet 1802 (the only battle in Kzinti space), which will either see them kill the lone FF garrisoned there, or see the reserves show up probably be outgunned (the reserves, that is). They also recaptured most of Kzinti space.

In the Fed/Klingon front, no combat is happening vs the Feds. The Klingons moved a big fleet out to hex 2309, and recaptured planets 1910, 2214, and 2715, but no reserves can reach there.

On the Fed/Romulan front, the Romulans are hitting planet 3509 (PDU-less, undefended, but undevestated), BATS 3508, planet 3706 (has PDUs and 8 ships), BATS 3806, and the Klingons are hitting planet 3210. There are two modest reserves that can hit most of those targets, and an extra reserve that can make it to 3210. None of the reserves are particularly huge (one of them is 3 ships).

O the Gorn front, the Romulans are attacking SB 4206 (likely just a pinning action; holding down a reserve), BATS 4208 with a significant fleet (currently undefended), Planet 4309 (with a significant fleet, undefended), and BATS 4008 (with 4 ships). The Gorn have a unpinned reserve on SB 4806.

Reserves to move shortly.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 - 06:48 pm: Edit

CT14

The Hydrans did not move any reserves; the Kzinti sent two reserves to SB 1704; the Feds sent 2 reserves to BATS 3508; the Gorn sent a reserve to SB 4206, allowing them to send another reserve to FED BATS 3806.

In Hydran space, the Hydrans lost a CU and fell off the map in 0118.

In Kzinti space, the Kzinti fought an approach over SB 1704, lost control of planet 1802.

Over on the Rom/Fed front, the Romulans have captured planet 3509, the Klingons captured planet 3210, and the Romulans have killed BATS 3508.

On the Gorn front, the Romulans killed BATS 4008, 4208, and have captured neutral planet 4309 so far.

A few fights left to go.

CT14

Combat is over!

In Hydran space, not much happened. A CU died and the main on map fleet was cut off from supply again (although they are on planet 0519).

In Kzinti space, not much happened. The Coalition recaptured most of Kzinti space, and took back planet 1802.

On the Fed/Klingon border, not much happened. The Coalition took back planet 1910, 2214, 2715, and have big fleets reasonably deep in Fed space.

On the Fed/Romulan front, the Coalition took planets 3210, 3509, 3706, and killed BATS 3508. A timely Gorn reserve saved BATS 3806, however.

On the Gorn front, the Romulans killed BATS 4008, 4208, and captured neutral planet 4309.

Ships killed:
-ROM: KE, WE, SPF, SKE, SK

-ZIN: FFK, FF
-HYD: CU
-FED: CA, NCL, FFE, 2FF

As of press time, the Coalition hold all Fed space below the xx11 line, and some above it.

CT14

The turn is over!

In Hydran space, the Coalition have most of their ships in 0617, a solid fleet on planet 0416, and a Lyran reserve in 0617. The Hydrans have about 70 ships on planet 0519, and the rest of their fleet is off map.

In Kzinti space, the Coalition have about 130 ships (including a Klingon reserve) on SB 1307, and then two dozen ships (including a Lyran reserve) on 1506, about 15 ships on planet 1504, a dozen ships on planet 1105, about 20 ships on planet 1001, and 8 ships on planet 1802.

On the Fed/Klingon front, the Klingons have about 70 ships in 2309, about 60 ships in 2611, about 30 ships holding planet 2715. The Lyrans have about 15 ships holding planet 1910, a reserve in 1911. The Klingons have a reserve in 1811 (led by the new B10) and a reserve in 2014.

On The Fed/Gorn/Romulan front, the Klingons have about 35 ships on planet 3210, the Roms have about 30 ships on planet 3509, another 20 on planet 3706, 25 more on planet 3711; about 40 on SB 4411; 20 on SB 4812; solid reserves in 3914, 4214, and 4613. They have 20 ships forward deployed in Gorn space in 4208.

The Coalition are doing pretty well at press time; they have a lot of money still, lots of ships, and are holding half of Fed space. That being said, the Feds have a *lot* of ships on the Klingon front and are in danger of being able to start an offensive soon; the Coalition are making steady gains on the Feds, but I'm unconvinced I'll be making any significant attacks on the Fed Capital any time soon.

AT14

The Fed generate 164EPs, have 182EPs to spend. They build CVA, NAC, DWA, FFE, NCA, 9NCL, SC, DD (which gets converted to an SC), DW, 3DWA, 10FF, SWAC, activates a cruiser, spends 26EP on repairs, spending pretty much all their money. End econ with half an EP in treasury.

The Kzinti generate 54EPs, have 77EPs total to spend. Build CV, NCA, CM, 2MEC, 3DW, 2FFK, FKE, FF, spend 6 on repairs, convert a couple FFKs to FKEs. Spend most of their money, ending econ with 9EP in treasury.

The Hydrans generate about 30EPs, have 34EPs total to spend. They build NCV, PGS, 10 various FFs, ending econ with about 2EP in treasury.

The Gorn generate 91EPs, have 102 to spend. Build TG, MCC, HD, HDE, HDS, 4BD, 2DD, 3PDU on the capital, and a Scout Pod. Convert CL>CV, Build a Command Point. That can't be good. They end econ with about 10EP in treasury.

The Feds successfully raid 3 Klingon provinces.

T14 Ship Report:

The Coalition put 63 new hulls on the map, including 29 new fighter factors. They overbuilt 12 cheap FFs to hit that number, and the Romulans spent 3EPs to accelerate their Fall CON to get an early CNV on the map. So 63 is a high number that is not sustainable in the long run.

The Alliance put 66 new hulls on the map, including 33 new fighter factors, and still have 12FFF saved for the fall (the Coalition have 1FFF left to use in the fall). The Gorn failed to activate an off map ship this turn due to rolling a missed number (there were 5 ships available to activate...)

So the Alliance out produced the Coaliiton, if marginally this turn, but without overbuilding anything, and the Coalition overbuilding 12 hulls.

AT14

Moves are underway.

In Hydran space, the Hydrans are attacking province raiders and sent a bunch of ships to 0416.

In Kzinti space, the Kzinti are currently hitting planet 1001, 1504, 1802, and various province raiders. They have plenty of ships left to move.

On the Fed/Klingon front, the Feds are engaging a big Klingon fleet in 2309, attacking planet 1910 and some supply tugs (and a Lyran reaserve) in 1911, as well as various province raiders. Plenty of ships left to move on this front.

On the Fed/Romulan front, the Feds are attacking the Klingons holding planet 3210, Romulans holding planet 3706, and various pairs of province raiding Romulans.

On the Gorn front, the Gorn have attacked forward deployed Romulans in Gorn space! Action!

Moves continue.

By Jason Langdon (Jaspar) on Tuesday, March 06, 2018 - 02:28 am: Edit

T14A Op Moves have finished. All up the Alliance is attacking 24 targets. Maybe half to two-thirds are province raiders/disrupters and a number are medium sized fleets.

Only a couple are large battles where anything important is being fought over.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Tuesday, March 06, 2018 - 05:39 pm: Edit

AT14

As noted, moves are done!

In Hydran space, most of the Hydran fleet is facing off against most of the Coalition fleet over planet 0416. A couple hexes of province raiders are being hit as well; the Hydrans will win in one and lose in the other, where the one mobile reserve showed up.

In Kzinti space, the Kzinti are hitting evertything they can, including 5 held planets and numerous province raiders. The biggest fight is over planet 1506, where a huge Kzinti fleet is facing a huger Coalition fleet. A Klingon reserve may or may not save planet 1105.

On the Fed/Klingon front there is a big open space fight in 2309, where the reserve B10 showed up; the Klingons will probably lose control of planet 1910, the Romulans will lose control of planet 2214; Klingons in 2611 will probably get pushed back a hex.

On the Fed/Rom front, a bunch of raiding Romulan FFs are being hit (we'll see how many cloak away), the Feds might take back planet 3706; a Klingon Reserve might save planet 3210.

On the Gorn front, the Gorn attacked a forward fleet in 4207 and hit Romulan held planet 4309 which may or may not be saved by two Romulan reserves that showed up.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Friday, March 09, 2018 - 04:38 pm: Edit

AT14

Combat is well underway. In Kzinti space, the Kzinti reclaimed planets 1504 and 1802, killed a bunch of province raiders, and fought a protracted fight over 1506, trading FFs for generally bigger ships, until they ran out of fighters and fled.

In Hydran space, the Hydrans lost an FF, killed an FF, and now are fighting a possibly lengthy fight over planet 0416. Depends on who feels like trying to win here.

So far, the Alliance have lost 9 ships (mostly Kzinti) and the Coalition have lost 11 (mostly Klingon).

Battles rage on.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Sunday, March 11, 2018 - 10:33 am: Edit

AT14

Combat keeps on going!

On the Fed/Klingon front, the Feds retook planet 1910, were repulsed from some supply TGs in 1911, and met the mighty B10 in combat for the first time out in 2309. The B10 crews are clearly still shaking some things out, 'cause they rolled a "1" in the combat, and, well, weren't that scary. But at least scary enough that the Feds retreated after one round.

Over on the Fed/Rom front, the Feds killed a couple small Romulan ships that weren't good at cloaked evasion, and are fighting over planets 3210 and 3706.

The Gorn and Romulans are also currently fighting over neutral but Romulan held planet 4309.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Monday, March 12, 2018 - 11:39 am: Edit

AT14

Combat is winding down. Over on the new Gorn front, The Gorn chased some forward deployed Romulans back, the Romulans tenaciously held planet 4309, mauling three crippled BDs in the pursuit.

The Feds chased Klingons off from planet 3210, and are still fighting Romulans at planet 3705.

Over back in Kzinti space, the Kzinti pushed the Lyrans off of planet 1001 finally.

So far this turn, 45 (?!?) ships have been killed (about an even split, with the Alliance ahead a bit). A few more are bound to die before the turn is over.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Monday, March 12, 2018 - 09:25 pm: Edit

AT14

Combat is over!

In Hydran space, not much happened. A couple small ships exploded, the Hydrans made a feint attack at planet 0416 and left after a round.

In Kzinti space, the Kzinti recaptured planets 1001, 1504, and 1802, and most of their space. For now. The Coalition still hold planets 1105 and 1506.

On the Fed/Klingon front, the Feds took back planets 1910 and 2214, and had a few other skirmishes.

On the Fed/Rom front, the Feds took back planets 3210 and 3706, and killed a few raiders.

On the Gorn front, The Gorn chased some Romulans back a hex and were repulsed from planet 4309 (still held by Romulans).

This was a very death heavy turn, setting a new high water mark for ship kills:

Dead Ships:
LYR: BC, DWS, 2DWE, SC, FF
KLI: D7, F5L, 5F5E, 2F5, 2E4, (E4)
ROM: 2SKE, 2SK, K5, 2K4

ZIN: CLD, 2FKE, FFK, 3EFF, 2FF
HYD: CU, HN
FED: 3NCL, SC, 5FF, (FF)
GRN: HD, (3BD)

( ) indicates ships killed with no salvage, usually in pursuit.

That's 25 Coalition and 25 Alliance dead, for a grand total of 50 dead ships in a turn.

AT14

The turn is over!

The Hydrans pulled most of their ships back to planet 0519, two dozen ships went off map, and they have a handful of FFs split between 0116 and 0117, and two moderate reserves off map.

The Kzinti have a big fleet at SB 1704, a big fleet at their Capital, a handful of ships at planets 1202 and 1802, and then two moderate reserves off map.

The Feds have a modest fleet at SB 2204, a lot of ships at planet 2306, a lot of ships at planet 2509, a lot of ships at planet 2610, a lot of ships at SB 2808, a lot of ships at SB 3008, and about two dozen ships at SB 3604. In all, the Feds have a lot of ships. They also have all 4 reserves (about 33 ships total spread among the 4) in their Capital.

The Gorn have two dozen ships each at at SBs 4206 and 4806, a dozen ships at BATS 4506, about 8 ships at each of 4 forward BATS, a dozen ships at Capital 4403, and two reserves totaling about 9 ships in Capital 4402. They also have a few ships garrisoning their West edge BATS.

CT15

Movement is underway. In Hydran space, so far, just some frigates have been pinned.

In Kzinti space, the fleet over SB 1704 has been pinned, planet 1001 re-attacked, planet 1802 attacked, and some ships on the Kzinti border went to go land on undefended Fed planet 2106.

Further in Fed space, a big Klingon fleet led by the B10 in 2309 went north, drove over planet 2306, left behind two dozen ships pinned by the fleet there, and continued on to SB 2204, which has about 15 ships defending it; the Klingons so far brought about 50.

On the Romulan front, the Klingons re-atacked planet 3210, Romulans went to planet 3706 and BATS 3806, and have started swarming further north.

In Gorn space, so far the Romans have sent significant fleets to BATS 4408 and 4608, both currently defended by about 7 ships each; the Gorn have two small reserves in Capital 4403 as well.

Moves continue.

WE>KE should be eligible for cdr, since it's a CA>CC conversion.
So unless you've converted a different WE for strategic movement reason, the conversion in 4015 should cost only 2 instead of 3.

CT15

Movement is done.

In Hydran space, a whole lot of Lyrans are attacking 7 ships in 0117, and a big Klingon fleet went to go attack the main Hydran fleet in 0519, but the Hydrans jumped off 0519 and reacted into the incoming fleet and pinned them away from the planet. Planet 0519 is now sitting udefended, but the Coalition didn't have enough ships left to realistically attack it, given the off map Hydran reserves.

In Kzinti space, the Coalition are attacking plants 1001, 1504, 1802, and SB 1704 with what is probably just a pinning force.

On the Fed/Klingon front, the Klingons have hit SB 2204 with about 60 ships (vs about 15 Feds), planet 2106 with a battle line and planet 2306 with the two dozen ships left behind by the two dozen Feds there that pinned them. Fed reserves can only reach planet 2306. They are are also taking back planets 1910 and 2214. A fleet of about 50 ships shifted from 2612 to 2311 without getting in a fight. A small group of Klingons also went to go attack BATS 2201, not realizing that the off map Kzinti reserves could get there, which might result in unfortunate things happening...

On the Fed/Romulan front, the Coalition are hitting BATS 3206, defenseless planet 3210, major planet 3306 (4PDU still), defenseless planet 3706, BATS 3806 (defended by 4 ships). Fed reserves can reach 3206, 3210, and 3306 here. And single reserve will probably fail to save a target, but 3 or 4 of them will certainly save one of these if they all go to one place.

On the Gorn front, the Roms have hit BATS 4408, BATS 4506, BATS 4608. Each of these are defended by 10 or fewer ships; the Gorn have 2 small reserves that can reach 4408 and/or 4506.

A total of 18 battle hexes this turn, but 4 of those are vs undefended, defenseless planets that have no reserves in range, so 14 actual fights this turn; a lot fewer then on the Alliance turn (the Alliance don't have tons of province raiders/garrison ships all over the place to attack).
