I think the Klingons can only sub one scout a turn? My memory may be incorrect; in any case you prolly could convert one instead.
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 05:21 pm: Edit |
Just noticed - didn't add the 2 FRD's - will add it to at the start of the next file.
Test Rolls made - did they safely arrive?
By William Jockusch (Verybadcat2) on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 06:18 pm: Edit |
No, no test rolls. Some starting FRDs are on your capital chart, along with a bunch of stuff that doesn't exist in our game. Builds are obviously another matter.

"3 x FF Overbuilt 15"
Bad kitties obviously have too much money. We need to give them some repair expenses.
By Karl Mangold (Karlsolomon) on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 06:31 pm: Edit |
At least Lyran CWSs have 3 EW, which would be great in the early war. DWS has the same EW platform as regular scouts (still worth it since what else can you convert a DW to, pre-carriers?) The only option for higher EW is a tug with *the* scout pallet. Kzinti are in much the same position, except they are defending and can dial up EW on bases without losing much Compot.
Klingons are blessed with those D6Ss that can be built right off the bat, even if their starting OOB is full of terrible F5Ss.
By William Jockusch (Verybadcat2) on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 06:54 pm: Edit |
We are not using advanced EW, or any expansion rules other than the advanced combat table, as I am allergic to anything that slows the game down. Paul and I are both good with the adv. combat table for different reasons. He likes the smoothness of it. I like the fact that it causes more damage than the regular one.
By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 07:13 pm: Edit |
Y'all might want to check your starting fleets as they might be full rules. Check against the F&E 2010 OOB is my advice.
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Monday, March 11, 2019 - 10:27 am: Edit |
We have cleaned the fleets up and removed the add on ships (which in some cases are vanilla hulls, added in additional rule sets).
So no LGEs for the Hydrans to sneak on the map
Just Lyran survey rolls to conclude the first Economic turn - seems the dice roller isn't playing ball on sending the e-mails at the moment.
Lyran Tugs
608 TGP - Tow FRD
705 TGC - BP
408 TGC - BP
The Lyrans also claim those stupid Fighter things are a death trap for both the pilot and Civilians Ships caught near any possible battles that may or may not occur and should be banned!!
Clearly being a peace loving nation we wouldn't dream of using such Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Richard
Formatting is awful, sorry - Klingon's subbed 1 F5S - the other F5(S)'s are the downsubbing of the F5L's.
By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Monday, March 11, 2019 - 03:39 pm: Edit |
I saw the downsubs, these are the two F5S you subbed:
F5>F5S (S) 4
F5>F5S (C 2318) 4
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Monday, March 11, 2019 - 03:57 pm: Edit |
Close but no cigar
The second one is a conversion in 2318
With the new Conversion rules, I fully used the 3 1411 SB's, the 1509 SB and 1 conversion point in 2318.
By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Monday, March 11, 2019 - 04:07 pm: Edit |
Ok then.
I agree, terribad formatting!

Nope, just checked my spam folder too.
What server? I can try too.

OK, it was a mistake at my end. Gmail helpfully puts all die rolls into an "updates" folder. I checked spam but didn't check there. That's fixed now -- I made my "updates" more prominent.

No problem
Survey roll - total was 7.
Can you confirm safe receipt?
First moves to follow (by e-mail)

Yes, they came. I won't be answering anything that involves hex numbers during working hours.
Alternatively, you could just not bother with me getting your rolls. If you claim anything remotely close to the rolls I got last game, I will obviously conclude that you are a statistically proven liar . . .
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 - 03:58 pm: Edit |
OK and no problem.
Well if I remember right.... I did roll lots of 6's! (for Coalition pursuits!)

Due to the continued aggression by Privateer Kzinti forces on Lyran civilians ships an ultimatum was provided to the Kzinti Patriarch requesting the Kzinit's respect the peace and prosecute the guilty.
As no such positive response has been received, a state of war now exists between the Lyran and Kzinti Empires.
Should the Kzinti Patriach agree to the demands and pay reparations, we will accept the Kzinti desire to correct the wrongs done.
For the moment, Lyrans forces have invaded Kzinti space and all Civilian ships should leave the Combat Zone.
Lyrans Forces have attacked BATS in 701 (6 Ships v the BATS), 703 (15 ships v the BATS and 11 Privateer and Kzinti Naval forces), SB 902 (24 Ships v 8 Ships,), Planet 1001 (4 Ships v 2 PDU's) and 1101 (1 Ship).
Due to a large number of Civilians ships near 803, restraint was shown and Lyran forces avoided Kzinti forces in that area.
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Thursday, March 14, 2019 - 09:00 am: Edit |
Possibly in disgust at having Privateers in his sector, the Count permitted a small Squadron of Lyrans ships to attatck the Privateer haven of 1001, unmolested.
The Privateers where therefore caught unaware and their two bases on 1001 was destroyed, with minimal Civilians losses.
The Lyran CC Tiger was crippled by a close range assault by the various privateer forces.
Lyran forces peacefully then occupied the rest of the planet.
In 701, the possibly loyal Kzinti base, after refusing the Lyrans the right to board and inspect local forces for Privateers elements was destroyed.
The Lyran CC Panther was crippled in this engagement.
(The Dice was kind, the BATS died with just the right roll - although we have rolled the same overall).
902 and 703 remain to be done.
By Paul Howard (Raven) on Thursday, March 14, 2019 - 11:36 am: Edit |
The Lyran Empire was pleased to see the Count stating he would actively control the Privateers and therefore Lyran forces withdraw from 902 and 703 to avoid Civilian casualties.
Lyran forces will remain forward deployed to ensure the Count promise is actioned - but the desire for Lyran peace should not be seen as a Weakness and reserves will be brought forward to protect Civilians in the area.
Retro and Strategic Movement to be done - Losses so far are
Lyrans : KIA - Nil, WIA - 2 x CC
Kzinti : KIA - BATS and 2 x PDU, WIA - Nil
One Province is occupied (1101) and Two provinces are contested.
What a nice quiet start!!

Rules check --
I am looking at the oobs in the rulebook and on this site. They are different. At least the Kzinti and the Lyrans both have more on the site. So it should be fair if we do the same thing. I don't have the game file here at lunch to check them against it.
Home fleet --
Rulebook: DN, CC, 3xBC, CL, 3xDD, 3xFF, DF, SF, TGC, FRD, MB.
Site: DN, CC, 3xBC, CL, 6xDD, FH, 2xFF, DF, SF, TGC, FRD, MB.
So 3DD vs. 6. And I guess one FF got replaced by an FH.
Marquis Fleet:
Rulebook: CC, 3xBC, CL, DF, FF, SF, TGT.
Site: CC, 3xBC, CL, DF, FF, FFK, SF, TGT
So this time, the site just added an FFK, whereas for home fleet it looks like it got substituted for an FF.
Duke's Fleet:
Rulebook: DN, CC, 3xBC, CL, DF, FF, SF, TGT
Site: DN, CC, 3xBC, CL, DF, FF, FFK, SF, TGT
Again the FFK was just added.
Marquis Fleet: Same as Duke.
Baron's Fleet:
Rulebook: CC, 3xBC, CL, DF, SF, TGT, FRD, MB.
Site: CC, 3xBC, CL, FF, FFK, DF, SF, TGT, FRD, MB
Site added both FF and FFK.
Lyrans --
Home Fleet
Rulebook: DN, CC, 4xCA, 5xCW, 5xCL, 5xDD, 3xDW, 5xFF, SC, TGP, FRD, MB
Site: DN, CC, 4xCA, 5xCW, 5xCL, 8xDD, 3xDW, 8xFF. SC, TGP, FRD, MB
So the site added 3DD and 3FF.
Red Claw
Rulebook: BC, CC, 4xCA, 5xCW, 5xCL, 5xDD, 5xFF, SC, TGC, MB,
Site: Same
Enemy's Blood
Rulebook: BC, CC, 3xCA, 3xCL, 4xDD, 4xFF, SC, TGC, MB
Site: same
Far Stars
Rulebook: CC, 4xCA, 5xCL, 4xDD, 4xFF, CW, DW, SC, TGP, FRD.
Site: same
Fall production --
Rulebook: BC, CA, 3xCW, 3xDW, 3xFF
Site: BC, CA, 4xCW, 3xDW, 3xFF.

A quick look shows I think AO added the extra Kzinti and Lyran DD's - aswell as the 'heavy' Kzinti Frigates.
The FFK and FKE are both AO hulls.
...and the 4th Lyran CW build was also added in AO.
So I think we can ignore the On Line OOB's - as they are post AO ship lists - and just go with the rule book lists?
By William Jockusch (Verybadcat2) on Thursday, March 14, 2019 - 07:31 pm: Edit |
Just using the rulebook for everything certainly keeps it simple. I'll retroactively audit the Kzinti.
