I'd bet there are a whole bunch of types of "markers" that may be useful, perhaps enough for a separate marker sheet of its own. I see that the folks who play via vassal and cyberboard have various types of markers to keep track of certain things, like devastation status of planets, captured/conquered status of provinces, and so on. I'd bet we could come up with enough examples to fill a whole sheet. And I know the cardboard addicts on here would buy one or two.

SVC set this up to keep track of ideas for such markers for the countersheet print run sometime around Jan 2022.

SVC would this be single sided or double sided?

I have no clue. It wasn't my idea. At this point I don't see it happening any time soon.

Many of the current Single sided sheets currently in production could be reconfigured to double sided. The success of doing this costs more but allows the counters to go farther by adding additional similar items to the back. The other big benefit was already realized by ADB when the added back sides to certain normally single sided counters. This had a big benefit to the counter addicts who had to deal with a solid white background previously, they happily accepted some of these same double sided counters with Name conventions on the back.
Example: FRD...normally single sided got a big "FRD" on the back.

Single sided PDUs 1xBTN should definitely get a RGT on the back (2xBTN) while this has been done for some it would be great if it were standard practice.

Sheet T&U should get this revamp whenever it eventually runs out. Plus the Hydran S-Tug can have its fighter factors corrected and it can get the backside.

Lawrence: While that is true, and nothing you said is something I didn't know long ago, it is not supported by data that the higher cost of backprinting is justified by spare parts sales. It helps, but it doesn't nearly cover the cost.

The die cutter we use now only does double-sided so we pay for it if we use it or not so we do. The counters for R4T and R4J were backprinted. The problem is that we print in batches of four sheets. If these are F&E counters, one of the four must be a new product. If these are SFB counters, two or three must be new products.

If I MUST reprint a single-sided sheet AND if there is a spot for it then we CAN easily backprint it. But I'm not going to backprint single sheets that don't need reprinting just so I can lose money selling a few to the elite players.

Said another way, any time we are forced to do reprints, we pick the ones most critical and if one of them is an F&ESS then we'll backprint it (and would have if you had never said a word).

Any time we need to do a new product/sheet, we'll fill in the most critical reprints. If one of them is an F&ESS then we'll backprint it (and would have if you had never said a word).

Right now I assume we'll do AndroWar in May 2023 (not a promise just a guess) and at that time we'll do the most critical reprints (probably Kilo, Indigo, and Vulcan).

I should note a few things...

1. Lar knows a lot more than he's saying. He's just asking questions to help me with one of my key jobs.

2. One of my key jobs is to educate you guys as to how things work so you can help me find opportunities and make effective decisions.

Are there any one-sided Romulan, Kzinti, or Lyran counters which could be given their respective "civil war" colours on would-be two-sided versions of them - as was done with the Romulan countersheet for SFB Module R4J? Or would that risk crossing the line into "counters that need to be in new products" territory?

Given the new SOURCE TWO (which is being tested now) we could in theory do any kind of marker sheet in tiny quantities for elite players willing to pay $14-$26 a sheet for it.
