2012-2014, 2016 saved. Nothing really in 2015 since it was cancelled.

2012-2016 deleted.

Thanks, again to the F&E staff for their hard work.

Again, the goal is 50,000 not 5,000 deleted messages but every little bit helps!

Question, can you not get rid of 2017 and 2018 as well?

Are we starting a new Thread yet for 2020?

How feasible is it to do a 2020 or 2021 west coast stratcon in California?
It’s my belief there are at least 6 players within 90 min of Sacramento + 6-8 more in the state.
Sac airport is easy to fly into and SW or Alaska airlines always have deals
There are at least 3 LSMs and counter sets with those original 6 players plus the EB maps Tim has.

By Will Culbertson (Willhc) on Friday, September 20, 2019 - 02:59 pm: Edit

CA is easier for me to get to up here in WA. I'd certainly be up to that so long as it's after I move in spring 2020.
I have a LSM and tons of counters I can bring.

I have no problems but someone local needs to take lead on the arrangements.

By Karl Mangold (Karlsolomon) on Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 09:08 am: Edit

Being in the mountain west, Vegas seems like it would be a good option. Cheap flights, cheap rooms, lots of conference space. Not too hard for SoCal residents to access (seems like a lot of people in the L.A./San Diego area on here.) Phoenix also fits this bill to a lesser extent.
Of course, if there isn't anyone local, it probably won't work.

I will confer with Chuck about this.

By Jean Sexton Beddow (Jsexton) on Sunday, January 03, 2021 - 12:51 pm: Edit

Al and I should have the public part of the house renovated by this summer. What do you think of us hosting StratCon here in Amarillo? Maybe mid-to-late June? We should have room for four to five tables. And if a game ends too soon, we have plenty of other games that can be played.

If folks fly in, we'd be glad to take them to a hotel and otherwise shuttle folks around. We can arrange for drinks and snacks. And brownies ...

The downside is that Wolf lives here, and if folks are allergic to dogs, that could be a bummer.

Thoughts?

I can help pick up people at the airport.

(visions of SVC going to the airport and lifting random strangers off their feet)

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, January 04, 2021 - 10:12 pm: Edit

Only if they weigh 170 pounds or less. I know I can carry that much weight.

By Ryan Opel (Ryan) on Monday, January 04, 2021 - 10:25 pm: Edit

SVC,

WE need you to provide maps and counters.

:)

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, January 04, 2021 - 10:51 pm: Edit

I can get you a discount deal, but I cannot hand you hundreds of dollars of free stuff.

If my health is up to it and I can find funds (and if the health of others does not require me not to travel) I will go. I have no maps or counters; Mike and I merged our F&E supplies with a friend and left him those things.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Tuesday, January 05, 2021 - 09:49 am: Edit

My attending is subject to the availability of funds which is probable and the good wishes of the better half, which is questionable at best at the moment.

I'm definitely up for it, assuming the world is back to some version of normal by then and that I have no schedule conflicts.

By Tony L. Thomas (Scoutdad) on Thursday, January 07, 2021 - 09:20 am: Edit

I would love to do this... dependent on Evelyn's kidney health / dialysis situation at the time of the event.

And assuming COVID has settled to the point where the entire trip is feasible. Mike, have you gassed up the MRS yet - or are we taking Ruby???

Steve: Is a tour of the ADB office part of the VIP ticket purchase?

By Patrick H. Dillman (Patrick) on Thursday, January 07, 2021 - 01:10 pm: Edit

I need to make a trip out there anyways so yes.

By Ryan Opel (Ryan) on Thursday, January 07, 2021 - 11:00 pm: Edit

Tony,

We might be taking UBER (mine). Thor says he would rather go stay with his sister then in some boarding kennel.

I think we should try and plan a day before or day after for a staff meeting at ADB (and tour).

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, January 08, 2021 - 11:08 am: Edit

Tour of ADB is part of the experience.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, January 08, 2021 - 11:10 am: Edit

Obviously all having effective COVID vaccine is a must.
