I plan to head out to my cousin in Missouri on Wednesday; which is a little over 600 miles. Then to a friend in Oklahoma, which is only about 200 miles. Then a little over 600 again on Friday. With an early start Friday that should have me in Amarillo before 6 PM.

I will of course report my actual progress as I go.

Jason,

EB can be done with a ring of player disks instead of a circle. All discs line up facing 4 to facing 1 with player 1 and player 8 sharing a border. That basically allows an infinite number of players (though more than 10 would get silly). No ship can leave a disc through facing 2,3,5, or 6. Only through facing 1 and 4.

Last time we did this we did 2 map sections per player, with the second map section being an open disk with a wormhole in the center that went to a random player's disc (but not to an adjacent player disc). The randomness of a player popping up on your disc through an undiscovered wormhole forced players to actually guard against more than just directions 1 and 4.

Hey All.. Al here making one of his rare visits to the realm of ADB Grognards.

Here's what y'all have available from my place:
- One 4x6 Game Table (held up by 2 folding tables)
- Three 2x4 white folding tables
- One 2.5x4 ft folding table
- One 3x3 folding table
- About 8 folding chairs
- Assorted coolers (you provide the ice).

Mr. Ryan - I don't think you need to bring any tables! ;-)

I can also help pick-up/drop off people from the airport.

I do have Leave marked on the calendar, but I'm still not 100% sure whether I'm going to drive down to visit. I just got back from spending a month at Little Rock for a couple classes. Am I up for another road trip??? If I do make it, I don't plan on playing.

Covid wiped out my Stratcon Plans. Avenge me!

Well guys, naturally folks here have decided to celebrate my impending departure for Stratcon by getting Covid. While I may or may not have it (I was exposed but wearing a mask or outside at the time) the people who were going to care for family here do and I have family that cannot be left without help for more than a day or so. This means I will not be attending as planned.

If anyone has a webcam I would love to look in to see how things go and can volunteer my Zoom account for anyone who wants to stream, just let me know.

Guys, I feel bad, but I have been "busy" for six months and this thing just kinda crept up on me, not that any of you kept me in the loop of the overall plan. I'll be busy Friday night and much of Saturday and Sunday with things scheduled long ago. I'll try to stop by and say hello Saturday night. I don't really have a pile of books ready for you to edit although I should have the "final" 2022 version of StratOps by Tuesday and AdvOps by Friday. I'd like to get some input on Civil Wars so that can be released this summer. Anyone who wants to come by the office this weekend I would suggest you call first to see if anyone is actually there.
