Yes, Those dates have been confirmed as acceptable by SVC (and FEDS).

I sent out a list of lodging/gaming locations that include last year and an upgrade as we seem to be tracking for a slightly larger crowd.

Once I have a general consensus I can reach out to our eyes on the streets (Al) to see if he is able to drive by like last year and verify location is safe and adequate parking.

I have purchased Airfare and will secure a location if no immediate deposit is needed. Right now i am coming in Saturday and leaving the following Sunday.

It worked nicely having a big house where the core players can stay to keep the game moving along. It helped reduce costs of lodging food and brought the level of security needed to zero.

I will need commitments from players who are sure to stay before forking out the dough (unless there is zero risk and the $ is refundable)

If this event is reasonably open to those with a theoretical knowledge of the game but little experience, I might try to attend. July 22-30 is far enough out that I can make arrangements. Though, I'd likely drive out than fly. Wether it would be in my big rig or car remains to be seen at this point.

Update: the location for StratCon 2023 has been booked. The favored location was secured out from under us so we went with option B (still an upgrade from last year) it is 11-12 min to ADB (south & west of it).

We have Saturday through following Sunday.

I think "Eye of the Storm" would be way too big. I'd like to play something where there is more maneuver options and less base and planet busting. Winds of Fire where there are less bases, captured/devastated planets and some fun late war toys. Just my opinion...

HI Thomas/Turtle,
I use Vassal (V). This month, three of us finished a base F&E game on V. The three of us are planning on switching sides and playing a base game again on V after Stratcon 2023, and, then playing Eye of Storm.

Lar and I have discussed via phone his update of F&E on Cyberboard, and I plan on checking out Cyberboard after he completes his update.

I live in California; thus, Pacific Time zone in case you would like to get together sometime for an online game.

F&E Staff, et al,

Just a reminder that one of the things we will be doing at StratCon23 is updating the Basic Set rules for F&E as part of the Warbook effort. Anyone attending will have an opportunity to have their voice heard in person by the F&E Staff and ADB. This is a rarity as ADB dedicates much time to F&E while we are there. This will only be our third time in the last 23 years to address and clarify F&E rule issues and questions so don't miss out.
