If this years attendance gets big enough I would suggest renting a second house nearby the first to reduce costs for staying.

I wish that first big house would have been available. It would have slept 14 and had 4 bathrooms....next year (or we go back to renting out a big space like a hotel conference room again).

Most people are arriving on the 22nd. So there may be some gaming, but most likely it will just be setting up positions. I know I'm getting in to the airport before Lar. I'm just not sure how much sooner. I will be leaving early on Sunday morning of the 30th. I have to switch airlines in Dallas so had to schedule enough time to do so reasonably.

I am coming on the same plane as Lar with air travel already booked. Thus, I should be shown as F10, not F9. Lar and I land at 4:10 p.m. CT on Saturday, 7/22. I would like to play the ISC and can play more than one empire if needed. My three empire choices are first ISC, then, Lyran, and lastly Kzinti.

Not having made lodging reservations, and intending to drive my car up for the event... I'm considering options.

I may be amenable to joining in with others to cut costs.

As an admitted neophyte, I have zero empire preference as I'll be novice poor at any of them. There is only so much one can learn from just reading the rulebooks after all.

Sidebar: I've got an idea to play with for dealing with Andromedan RTN transit networks. I've ordered some pieces parts and will be packing them along. I might want to snag a victim or two and basic set to experiment with.

I will not be attending STRATCON this year. I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer last month and will be having surgery on the 20th of June. With recovery time and the vacation I'm going to have to take I will not be able to make it this year.

I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma with tall cell mutation back in 2014, and I'm still around...

They haven't been able to completely get rid of the cancer but the prognosis is that I have an excellent chance of living a normal life span. Most thyroid cancers (one exception but fortunately it is the rarest of the thyroid cancers) are among the most treatable and most survivable of cancers. Good luck.
