Okay while the Website was on the move so was the Stratcon planning.

Two car have been reserved to shuttle folks and run the logistical errands of the day for Saturday One Car is longer term for shuttling to dinners and between houses.

Al has agreed to laminate his map for a reimbursed cost vs having one of us mail a map to and fro for even more money.

I am reaching out to the hosts to see if we can get in an our earlier at both places.

Some of part time folks have reached out and those who have will be contacted directly once the location of the map site is determined. Right now we 'think it will be' Mesa.

Emails have been sent and phone calls placed confirming counters brought.

Who is playing what has to be nailed down but the general plan is 5 Coalition players vs 3 Feds should be able to handle this scenario.

Strategy sessions have yet to take place (but should be set up soon if they are to be had in advance.

Time is getting short….

As a first timer, is there anything I need to plan for or bring? I have a lot of fancy whole bean coffees and a few ways to make them. I’d be pleased to share as much or as little as the group wishes.

Was there ever a roll-call on sleeping spots vs claims? (I.e. do I need to plan on a hotel?)

Coffee would definitely be a great contribution.

We have a couple email chains going back and forth about the arrangements. I'm putting together the shopping list; we'll get a delivery of food, drinks, snacks, and other supplies once we get down there. I'll make a point of adding you to the next email that goes out so you can join in.

I'd appreciate that Joe. So far I'm in the dark about what obligations I need to address such as site/event fees, meal plan, misc costs, etc al.

I'd rather sort it out now rather than show up and find my exuberance exceeds my budget.

I will plan on bringing the massive collection o' coffee and needed gadgets and such to make coffee.

(i.e. which PDFs should I consider buying and studying beforehand? While “just buy everything” is probably a good choice at some level, I don’t have Uncle Sam’s credit limit.)

2010, Fighter Ops, Combined Ops, Advanced Ops, Planetary Ops, Strategic Ops, ISC War, Minor Empires, and Tactical Ops are all used.

The best ones for you to have for this scenario are going to be 2010 and Tactical Ops.

What is the address where the game will be? If I can get by I might as well know where to get.

As posted elsewhere, I have a VERY sick cat who requires constant attention if he is going to survive the infection that almost killed him. Thor comes first, and I don't know how soon I'll be able to get away. I cannot really stick Leanna with all the caregiving duties and we cannot both leave the house at the same time, at least not tomorrow. I'm not sure now if I'm going to be at the office next week.

Ryan, it’s because the host’s router is locked down to block non-secure servers. The BBS is not hosted on a site with an SSL cert, therefore it results in inconsistent results here. I got an AT&T intercept page warning me of the issue and not allowing me to continue.

I had to turn of AT&T's protection system. It interfered with WAY too much that I routinely use on the Internet. Stoooopid. I rely on Norton and Windows instead.
