SIERRA FRONT-SIDE REPORT

Sierra M-10: HWT: CORRECT compot should be 4-8/2-4 per Sheet 80.

Sierra L-20: OH: The correct fighter factors should read 8H3 as this ship is the HF version of the Overmind BCH.

We have a bit on a compot conundrum when we newly added the FHK (10-9/5) and the FAK (9/5), both only found in SO KILO. Both of these ships have identical weapons systems and power.

The FarHawk-A (FA) is the sister ship of the FireHawk-A (FH), both with their A-modules available in Y171.
The FarHawk-K FAK is the sister ship of the FireHawk-K (FHK), both with their K-modules available in Y174.

While the FH is widely available throughout F&E on various sheets over the years; the FAK was only produced in the original SO of Sheet FOUR (1 counter); three sets of sheet-FOUR were included in SO meaning only 3 FAK counters were in the SO package.

Currently, there is/are:
One FAK on sheet KILO at I-7;
Two FHK on sheet KILO at K-6 & L-6 (recently added at Dan's request).

Proposal to Correct:

REDESIGNATE the FAK at I-7 as the Y171 FA with NO CHANGES to the factors currently on KILO.

KEEP one of the recently added FHK at K-6 with NO CHANGES.

REPLACE the FHK at L-6 with Y174 FAK 10-9(6)/5(3).

In essence, we are only replacing three old counters (maybe a few more if player bought this sheet with the many limited in-service units) with a counter that has correct values while offering up two new correlated counters.

To clarify, is the intent for the SLT (in slot D10) to have a cloaking device installed as standard? Or should the choice be left to the Orion player(s) as to whether or not to install a cloak onto this ship, during the course of a given campaign?

In other words, should the "middle" factors on the uncrippled counter side stay as "CU", or ought it be adjusted to "U" instead?

On a side note: while the rules governing the Orion Enclave as an independent neutral are covered over in Planetary Operations, I wonder if it might be an option here to adjust the would-be SIT entries for the Orion TG and/or SLT being added here, so as to replace the SAL and/or SLV in the provisional Order of Battle listed under (533.41) - and/or to be able to build new ones in lieu of SALs and/or SLVs under (533.43).

Doing this would enable the Orion government to use them as more "traditional" transport units, as opposed to he more ad hoc rules which govern the Enclave's OOB at present. And, perhaps, provide an opportunity for one or both of these variant hulls to historically exist, were such a thing worth considering.

SIERRA L-4 BOTH CRIPPLED and UNCRIPPLED sides: HDWR: Suggest: Please change the designator for this HDW unit on both sides of the counter to HDWF. This ship is an HDWF repair ship, not and HDWR FCR ship.
FEDS: CONCURS. The proper designator for this ship is: HDWF.

EDIT: For reference we do have the Tholian HDWR FCR ship on VULKAN and it does have the correct factors for the FCR mission.

GARY: The point was for that specific SLT counter to have a cloak so that the Orions would have some each way. Should the cloak be on the back? or does the staff want to remove it from the front?

GARY'S SECOND ITEM I shall leave to the staff. It doesn't seem to be a countersheet issue but a rulebook/OB issue.
