Format Instructions

In this topic, please use the following format example as a guide when reporting:

Fed STB: Inclusion of "+ftrs" in conversion costs is not necessary and should be deleted, since neither conversion adds fighters. Dave Butler 6 June 07

ALL in ONE paragraph
Race at first in upper/lower case.
Ship next using counter-code. This must be the ship on the line of the SIT you are talking about.
What you want changed (don't assume SVC knows what you don't tell him)
Justification statement (why the change is necessary and correct)
Name and date at end
No more than one change/comment/question per line item.

++

A common mistake is this kind of report:

Gorn CL>BC>CCH=3+2-1=4 Michael C. Mikulis

This report applies to the LINE on the SIT for the CCH, but "sorts" to the "line" for the CL. So this should be formatted as:

Gorn CCH: CL>BC>CCH=3+2-1=4 Michael C. Mikulis

GREETINGS: You have followed the URL here looking for the SITs (Ship Information Tables).

Simply scroll up and you will find links for each empire; each link will have links for the discussion of that empire and for the current SIT for that empire.

Attention F&E fans.

I have greatly enjoyed spend over a week SITting with you but my co-workers say I'm not allowed to spend all day, every day, doing nothing but SITs and other things I like doing. I have to do real work.

So the theory is this. I have now done new SITs for everybody, some of which cleared everything, one or two of which did not, and one or two of which have new items.

I'll post another updated Fed SIT on the 14th.

After that, I'm going to TRY VERY HARD to stop by once a week and do the updates for ONE of the SITs. Whoever's turn it is next, if I can do everything in the file I will just upload a new one.

If I get to a SIT and find items I cannot answer, I will send them to FEAST (Ryan) and when I get his answers I will process them and post that SIT.

If Ryan or Chuck happen to get to a topic before me and "endorse" the line items (confirm them to be done, or say they are wrong, or that they were already done, or that they need to be done another way) then so much the better/faster.

I have no doubt that every time I work on the SITs I will create a mistake or two and the regular report proceedure should take care of that. There will always be a few "pink ladies" which are ships not in the game yet with placeholder lines on the SIT and incomplete or missing info.

In theory, we'll get this to the point that I'm spending less than an hour a week updating the SIT of the week. Given the number of SITs, every one of them will get an update three times a year, or more likely twice as there will be weeks I forget or don't have time or whatever.

Further notes:

I continually upgrade the SITs with new ideas, but at any given time some of the posted SITs may not have all of the latest ideas. Some examples are:

I am going through all of the SITs to make sure that the salvage stuff is three decimals. For reasons I cannot fathom, some of these cells keep switching themselves back to no extra zeros.

I am going through all of the SITs changing Y182A to Y182 and Y182B to Y182F.

I am going through standardizing the colors, which aren't quite perfect yet.

I will eventually just do a master copy of all of the HDW stuff since it's virtually identical and easily edited.

Don't bother reporting these items until I have posted a new SIT after today. Even then, don't do a line item for every cell just tell me some have the issue and let me do searches.
