General notes for the Usurper War of Return.

Directed Damage: Directed Damage may be used to cripple but not kill key units. Reasoning: Both sides want to have a kingdom to rule over. Excessive killing will only ensure further conflict.

Map and Territory: Original Kzinti territory plus the WYN Cluster hex.

Victory Conditions: The WYN must be able to get a CA or larger ship (if available) to 1401 and the ship must be in supply.

Order of Battle: I wilil have to look closer at the final Kzinti Order of Battle from ISC War before looking at things like ships joining one side or the other or remaining neutral.

There needs to be diplomacy of sorts in this scenario. Maybe not diplomats as such: call them agents, and can have effects on enemy ships and factions such as to turn them to your side. Whoever controls more than 50% of the ships in a fleet has control?

Or more likely if a fleet has ships on both sides, it proceeds to combat?

Is there any published text in the SFU as to how exactly the Usurper hoped to take the throne? If so, where is this information published?

Thanks.

SFB C3 Wyn War of Return. Y186

I think it's all in there and don't want to post all that here. It would take some work to fit into F&E I think.

It's a bunch of scenarios. It looks like it really would be only raids and some small scale combat, 1 full size fleet battles because the ISC showed up, followed by a SCS duel. for the aftermath it's more complicated for the Kzinti and wyn than that, but the above summarizes the Usurper's role.

After reading through it Chuck it seems like I am right about this needing some sort of agent(like diplomats) and this scenario has the sole exception of a BATS getting captured (the one between Count and Duke's fleet) - and it is not a 100% easy thing to do if you ever played the scenarios in SFB (I have about 4 times!). The raids would have an effect on the battle as some ships don't enter the base battle.

This scenario is awesome to play.
