Ok,
On the advice of the guys at the general Omega thread, here's the first of five race-specific threads for the Omega octet in F&E!
Let's get the photon rolling...

I don't have any data from marc elwinger on this race.

Well, we can draw our own data from Federation sources and work out the differences the FRA would have...

OK, FRA shall be easy, as they didn't really appear until Y136+
CLA 8-8/4-4
CL 6-6
CVS 4-6(6)/2-3(3)
FF 4-4/2-2 ** remember based on PC hull, DD hull comes in Y173 ** 2.5EP
FFE 2-4E/1-2E
FFS 4-4(4AF:1EW, 2AF:2EW)/2-2
Really only 2-4 hexes, so 1CL+3FF per turn is fine to start with as they negotiate a truce with the Maesrons (they are surrounded by them)

The FRA CVS has six Ph-1 and four light photons.
That makes it a 6-6(6)/3-3(3) unit in my book.

I would say max 5-6(6)/2-3(3), as they are light photons.

Chris,
Four light photons one a CVS match the two normal photons on a normal FRA 6/3 CL in terms of firepower and are harder to kill besides.

I also think the FRA CL at 6 is too high.

I think the FRA CL is identical to the Fed CL, and if so, it's not going to change factors. In that case, Trent is right - 4 light photons are (very slighly) better than 2 regular photons, so a 6(6)/3(3) rating seems warranted.

Hey, it was just proposed stats, looking over the SSDs this morning, it is the same as the CL, but NOT the CLA as it states in the R-Section.
I'm fine after looking at the ship as a 6-6(6)/3-3(3)

When do the FRA BC and DN show up?
The BC is command cruiser class -- call it 9-9.
The FRA DN is better than a Fed DN+ if not a DNG in my book in terms of firepower and durability. Simply based on the hull count it should be 12-13 or 13-13.
