Y50 suggested OOB. (there was a map going with this, but it used a program akin to cyberboard that I don't have).

I created the original. I played it once and it seemed to allow for the Omega history.
Speed. For example the CA came out in Y51. That makes it earlier then the Alpha sector WCA. The general comments for early ships was that W class ships where about speed 4, Y class ships were about speed 5. Since no refits were discussed in the Omega material I made one SIT covering all known ships and gave them speeds accordingly. Optional would be to make a general rule that all warships Y50-80 move at speed 4, Y80-120 move at speed 5 and Y120+ at speed 6. but that does not allow for exceptions. That would mean that it is the year of the game that determines speed and not the ship.
David left out a comment. Ships begining with "O" (OCA, OTug ect) represent an earlier version of the ship then the ship published in Omega material. With an attack/defence one lower then the published. For example the Vari were fighting the Maerson in Y50 but all their ships were dated in the early Y50's. They had to have something when the war began, that was then replaced with the published ships. And the Maersons would not have started the war with the largest ship being the DD. They also had some earlier ships that these replaced.
Also this was before PO came out, some of the material like planetary repair docks needs to be integerated.

OK, going from the SITS above, he's my personal recommendations: (This is estimating a ~Y125 about)
1) FF, fine at 4-4/2-2
1a) FFN, has YIS 171, it's a War Frigate replacement for the FF.
2) DD, should probably be 5-5/3-3(2-2?). Introduced same time as FF, it shouldn't be a 6-6 that early.
2a) SCM, should probably be 2-5(2EW)/1-3. I really don't know if TM's qualify for DB, I don't remember long-range versions of them.
3) CL, should probably be 6-6/3-3
4) CA, should stay 8-8/4-4
5) DV, should be 1-5(5)/0-3(2) This ship only has 2 Racks plus 2 PW-3s
6) SR, similar to CL, 3-6(2EW)/1-3
So the Maesron's would need a CL-Commando Ship and a FF-Commando ship. A CL-Scout would be their SR.
No Escort Frigates exist (no Aegis in Omega!) So they would have to Ad-Hoc FF's for the DV.
I think that any ships for this era, should be 'rounded down' if their is any doubt. There has to be an incentive for an "upgrade" after 50 years in service, and the factors in F+E should reflect that.

FF Cost should be 2.5, since Alpha 4pt Frigates were given a discount.
DD should be 5-5/3-3 and cost 4. Same as Alpha 5pt Frigates.
FFN with a 7 attack is a bit high. Does it really have as many weapons as a NCL? If it does, it may qualify as a F&E shock ship. Otherwise factors of 6-5/3-3 with a cost of 4 or 5 seems more reasonable.
CBA with DB should not cost the same as a base CA. Cost should be 10, since it doesn't have any special sensors.
SCM. Should be 2-5/1-3 with 2 EW. With DB cost should be 7 (4 hull+2ew+1 2pt DB), not 8
DV. Should be 1-5(5)/0-3(3). Cost is OK.
SR. Cost should be 10 (6 hull +2ew +2survey)
Scott, do any Omegans have a dedicated troopship? Perhaps they just use casual troopships and auxilliary troopships.

Not printed as yet. Nor TUGs/LTTs
They've mostly concentrated on the combat ships of Omega so far.
Just a note, DD's don't have to cost 4, as normal DD's cost=COMPOT in Alpha (ie L-DD, Z-DD, F-DD, etc). Only "war hulls" or the smallest hull might get a discount (ie the race's smallest ship is called a DD).

Scott, the Kzinti FFK, Klingon/Romulan F5, and Hydran CR get the discount, even though they are not the 'smallest' hull.
I've always felt that the L-DD is overpriced, it should be 3 as the above ships.
The Z-DD and F-DD are really equivalent to old CLs if you look at their factors, therefore warrenting the cost=COMPOT.

The Maesron have a Tug in CL#21. I can't find it at the moment but it is there.
