SVC, I thought we agreed that information was 'Top Secret'.

ehem... Jean, please don't take this the wrong way, but most of us were smart enough to have figured that one out already. At least with limited run items...
I can't see it being very feasible with mass produced items such as the Fed Comm Rulebook version 4.0... but then again, with computer technology advancing and storage media improving in size/quality - anything is possible.

Actually, PD20:Modern isn't available form ADB yet... so I had to put that line into my proofread copies before I printed them out since I couldn't get Jean to add them to the originals for me.
I even tried to bribe her, but to no avail. She must already have enough "Librarians have Tight Buns" t-shirts.

She's looking for a whole fleet's worth of purple ISC minis. She wants one for each line on the MSC.

These are alternate class abilities for the Engineering Specialist.
Engineering Wizard
At 3rd level while attempting to reroute power or make juryrig repairs
(inc. Benchthumping) the Engineering Specialist may add a circumstance
bonus of +2 to any skills related to his attempt (GM decision on what
skills apply).
Master Designer
At 8th level the Engineering Specialist may create mastercraft items
for starships. The Engineering Specialist may create controls, sensors
or shields. He can create masterwork Warp and Impulse drives with the
Craft (Electronics) skill. On average it takes approximately twice as
long to construct a mastercraft system and must pay twice the amount
for a mastercraft system. In addition the Engineering Specialist must
pay a number of experience points (or from a pool, see pooling XP)
equal to 1/2 the cost of an ordinary item. The benefits gained by this
ability do not stack, as the Engineering Specialist cant create two
sets of mastercrafted controls and get twice the bonus.
Mastercraft Controls: +2 to pilot checks
Mastercraft Sensors: +2 to all Computer use checks when using sensors
Mastercraft Sheilds: +2 to Repair checks when trying to repair the shields
Mastercraft Warp: +2 to all attempts at navigation
Mastercraft Impulse: Ship can now move an additional square in
tactical movement.

with the success of the Modern version of this game (which better serves the sci fi setting), do you see this line (based on DND 3.5) phasing out?

Darren, I won't phase out anything that sells well. We'll continue to monitor the situation.
