Hey, glad to see a PD Hero folder.
Does this mean that it could be very near completion??
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Thursday, January 25, 2007 - 06:07 pm: Edit |
Not 'very' near, but moving forward.
By Darren Kehrer (Kehrer1701) on Thursday, January 25, 2007 - 06:23 pm: Edit |
Moving forward is better than reverse (and much better than the d6 version progress--through no fault of ADB).
By William F. Hostman (Aramis) on Sunday, January 28, 2007 - 04:54 am: Edit |
Any progress is a good thing. For both SFU fans and Hero Games, and most likely, for ADB.
The long & silent waits, however, are frustrating.
I mean, most hero system GM's could write a passable adaptation for their own use, but doing something to a professional level requires whole other skill sets.
The Steves (Cole, Petrick, and Long) have good reasons to be picky, and I know that the product quality will be good because of that. Whenever it finally arrives.

Do you think Hero PD will be out my Summer 2007?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 05:39 pm: Edit |
No idea. When the writer delivers the last file, the the guys who own HERO say "here's a license'" and "ok, you can print that", THEN i will know. Until then, asking me to predict the actions of people not under my control is like asking Bush if he thinks the war will be over before the elections.

I am brand new to the boards, and no idea where this is at, but I love the Hero system and am totally thrilled to see this happening. Thanks!

Well it's always good to have a new guy.

I remember a Captain's Log saying a possible Hero version was close to finish. Has the author given a timetable or estimate for completion?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, October 26, 2007 - 10:15 am: Edit |
Close to finished? No.
Close to the point we could submit it to HERO and see if they were willing to license the project or not, yeah.
I have yet to be told "this is the last bit" or "the last bit will be sent on..."

Thank you for the update...

A. David Merritt, your question has been moved to the Hey Steve Cole topic.

Thanks Jean!
Thats where I thought I put it.

Cross-posted from the ADB News forum...
From the SVC My Day 1/21 post:
"6. Mark Ewbank was thrilled to hear that Mike Sparks was taking over PD page layout so that SVC is no longer the bottleneck."
CLARIFICATIONS:
1. Mark Ewbank is thrilled that PD: Hero is closer to completion! No issues with SVC, who has other, higher revenue company things to do. Plugging away at remaining conversions...
2. Mark Ewbank is thrilled that Mike Sparks is taking on more responsibilities at ADB. Always nice to see someone with the initiative and smarts to move up in the world!
We'll get this done!
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 - 11:20 pm: Edit |
Nah, Mark, admit it, I ++AM++ the bottleneck, and I am not ashamed to say I'm ashamed that I was the bottleneck.

Do we know if the PD Hero will be a standalone or must you own other Hero books to use this one...
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, March 10, 2008 - 10:35 am: Edit |
Probably requires the basic hero book.
By Mark Ewbank (Mark_Ewbank) on Monday, March 10, 2008 - 09:02 pm: Edit |
Darren,
Lucha Libre Hero will be a stand-alone. The decision on PD: Hero has not been made.
I emailed Steve Long, and he said that the release of Hero 6E in 2009 will not impact PD: Hero.

I am looking forward to PD Hero as I will be buying Hero 6E when it is released.
Any news on when PD hero will be released.
Feline Empires released at the same time would be great.
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Friday, January 02, 2009 - 09:34 am: Edit |
Richard, with the new edition of Heroes coming out, we opted to release our PD Heroes to go with the new edition. Feline Empires is a piece down the road. Federation is next (and my current project) while the next sourcebook should be Tholians. Orions may well follow that as the next sourcebook.

If we can get a deal to release PD HEROES at the same time as HERO E6, I think it will be quite enough to have the core book with Feds-Klingons-Romulans following over the next 3 months.
By Darren Kehrer (Kehrer1701) on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 - 05:35 pm: Edit |
I am hoping PD Hero will come out soon after the 6E Hero does. It would be nice to get another game system in there...

Just wanted to see if this was a 2010 possibility
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Monday, May 10, 2010 - 10:36 pm: Edit |
No.
Darren, If I had no other job but working at ADB, I could probably get more RPG books done. As is, I work a RL job, mind the BBS, proofread nearly everything that ADB puts out, and work on the RPGs. I'm up early in the morning to do reports and you can see most nights I am up until midnight. I cannot do more than what I am doing.
PD Feds is what I am focused on with hopes of getting a core RB started and PD20M Romulans done. That is a very ambitious schedule considering all things that I have on my plate.
By Darren Kehrer (Kehrer1701) on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 - 10:41 pm: Edit |
no problem at all. The last post here was June 2009 and I haven't read any news about it all. Please understand, I highly appreciate everything you do!!! Please don't think I am pushing...just asking casually.
