Pg 144 says Ecirp is 34 years old in October Y166 but on page 3 2nd column 10th para it says he worked for a mining company for 30 years and and he became an independent scout a decade ago after his wife died. Based on this and him holding a PhD and two MS degrees he needs to be at least in his early 60's. The youngest I'd guess would be would have him starting college at 18, graduate with BS at 22, start work with company who paid for the rest of his degrees, 29 yrs marriage, 10 years since his wife died. Current age should be at least 61 but probably 63-65. Ryan J Opel 6 Nov 2016

I was looking over the average height/weight range chart for the various races/species, and the Vulcan and Romulan weights seemed to be way high.

They are specifically said to be denser than the norm, thus the higher weights.

Vulcan is a high-gravity planet (1.4G). I vaguely remember one Star Trek novel where the captain almost hurts himself while not paying attention when stepping from the 1G corridor into a 1.4G cabin.

Hence the Vulcans' greater-than-normal strength?

In some places, you have it spelled "Tellarite" and in others "Tellerite". Which is correct, with an A or an E?? Google suggests with an A. Just want to make sure ADB didn't change the spelling intentionally.

The height/weight charts are wrong. Tellarite is correct.

Cool. That's what I thought. 10-Q

Why is it that the Prellarian (two Ls) people come from the planet Prelaria (one L), or is that just one of those unsolved mysteries of the universe??

Unsolved mystery. I am NOT changing it everywhere.

The age for Ecirp needs to be looked at in the pregenerated characters.
Character sheet says he's 34.
Background says he worked for a company for 30 years and has been an independent contractor for 12 years.
Ecirp: Rigellian Male
• Y108: Born. (UPDATE) Started with the company at 18 plus 30 years’ work, working for company while he earned his degrees.
THIS IS CHANGED DOB. If he starts at 18 with the company and earns his degrees while working this works out to a better YOB. Makes him 58 y/o in Y166. I could even see this going back 4-6 more years to account for master's degree acquired before being hired.
• Holds a PhD in planetary science and master’s degrees in biology and astrophysics. (PD Fed)
• Spent 30 years working for mining company. (PD Fed)
• Y156: Wife dies and he becomes an independent scout. (PD Fed)
• Works as a lone scout for Luna University. (PD Fed)
• Y166, Apr: Arrives on MW-537-V to begin the survey of the planet. (PD Fed)
• Y166, Sep: Marked drop in the level of details in his logs. (PD Fed)
• Y166, 24 Oct: Greets the arriving survey team. Is rather gruff. (PD Fed)
• Y166, 25 Oct: Disappears. Turns out he is acting on the behalf of a pirate. (PD Fed)

Ryan is right about Ecirp. He's supposed to be about in his early 60s.

So moved back to somewhere between 102 and 104.

Prellarians, be lucky only letter is out of place. I've been to some places that got really creative with their residents' names, and that was before translation errors.
Just a shift in intonation could shift the spelling, especially if the dialect drifted before the words were transcribed into the Universal Translator.
Pre-laria vs Prell-arian
(Imagine a Universal Translator coming across the word 'colonel' the first time...)

My guess is the 34 should be 64. Simple typo.

Thanks, Jean. The reason for the questions is I been doing a little work on an old project of mine where I am fleshing out an entire crew roster, with the intent to write fiction stories.
