SFB TACTIC OF THE MONTH Continued

HELLBORE LABS

My solution to this nightmare is to fire an overloaded Hellbore at range eight to test the waters. This does several things.

1) It lets me see where the reinforcement is . . . and any general reinforcement will be completely eliminated.
2) It will start to wear down his shields.
3) Whether it hits or not, my own personal fear of losing a Hellbore to a lucky drone hit is greatly diminished.

Now, many Orions will hedge their bets, and reinforce a couple of shields in Energy Allocation. This is fine as well, since we now know the other four shields are NOT protected. Also, the Orion may use batteries to simulate reinforcement somewhere else, but again, we gain knowledge of the other shields.
Hellbore labs are not perfect, but they are useful.
